This is one of the best episodes in the history of the show! But I particularly love the way that Tom Selleck played it with his face! He knew for some time that his son was in love with Eddie, and he also knew that there was no official rule against partners still being partnered after getting engaged / married.
I think Eddie at this point of the show knew deep down for herself how long she too was in love with Jamie. You can see it in her eyes of the weight of it all was finally lifted off of her shoulders and to fully embrace being with the man she’s meant for in Jamie. Jamie is Eddie’s true love.
Eddie’s love for Jamie is powerful and it’s very visible right before they say grace. You see it in her heart eyes. She’s home with Jamie. Jamie is Eddie’s true love.
Jamie and Eddie, two people that are made for each other. Blue Bloods OTP! No longer living half lives and being with the one person your truly meant for. Jamie and Eddie can be authentic with each other.
I think it’s cool and kind of funny how they started the episode as regular partners with hidden feelings like they had been for years, and then they end the episode engaged.
Re-watching earlier episodes before this. Few weeks before, Eddie was shot and recovered, and later Jaime annoys the family coming late to dinner a few times claiming he's helping Eddie "study" for the sergeant's exam. But some time off-screen they profess their love, commitment and proposal, and even show up for dinner with vows in place (and Jaime said a hesitant "yes" when Danny asked Jaime if all of this happened "this morning"). Gotta say it' doesn't seem that spontaneous....they've probably been together and fooling around way before this, and sure the family of cops (at some point) have added this up. It's a great sexy backstory since we already know Eddie's not shy and Jaime doesn't mind. 🙂
You know, I just love this show for many reasons and I relaized it is their Sunday dinners that makes the show stand above all others in this genre. I remember as a child how our large family came together on Sundays at my grandparents home every week; I wish for everyone to know this joy. If even for just a moment, Blue Bloods takes me there again.....thanks Blue Bloods for the many family moments throughout each episode.
Não consigo imaginar como eles resistiram tanto tempo! Quando o primeiro turno deles juntos terminou, o jeito que Jamie olhou para ela , foi amor a primeira vista.
Why didn't anyone get up and hug them?!? I know that Reagans are not mushy, but COME ON! Not even Erin?!? Or Pop? [My wife and I are watching the series from the beginning and are 8 episodes in the 8th season. I remembered that they were going to get together soon, so I jumped to this scene. ]
Every time I watch this I can't help but laugh at Sean Reagan's demeanour. While everyone else is surprised and joyful at Jamie and Eddie's news Sean looks like he's been slapped with a wet fish.Obviously no one told him to "look happy".He literally had no input so maybe he really was pee'd off.
As I am catching up on tv series time of year again I was surprised to see in one episode guest star whoopi Goldberg and Michael Nouri of Flashdance fame also season 7 ep2 Paul resiner what a blast anyway enjoy😮😮
She is sometimes a bit unfriendly and spoiled, and she always complains to Jamie about the family as if she were jealous, she should change her character a bit, the Reagan family is not to blame that her father chose a bad path.
You'll live. Do you really expect for them not to address today's climate? Cops want to go home at night. Why get killed for these criminals that have all the rights.
Eddie was awful. You don't go to a dinner with people you just met and start arguing with them ... over ANYTHING! You just graciously accept the meal and listen, until you get to know tgem better! Loved Blue Bloods until Jamie started going out with her. Then, just caught an occasional episode when nothing else interested me. She's bossy & bitchy ... just not my kind of person.
