I feel like Jamie has inproved so much. Lovely choice of music and very cool outfits. Jamie has a beautiful smile and when he dances I can’t take my eyes off of him. I could see that he was trying his best and is having a great time! 💕
I was dreading Jamie's Samba but he did so well, it was his best dance! I also just love this pair in their bytes before and after the dance, they're a riot and very likeable, they make me laugh and are entertaining. Hope we see more of them!
THIS WAS AMAZING!! Really couldn’t take my eyes off them, didn’t feel awkward like I thought it might. He really has improved.... The sort of dance that would have really benefited from a proper, full audience.
I LOVED this, Jamie has so much energy and this routine brought such a smile to my face, we were laughing and grinning from ear to ear! Also they look like twins in those outfits, I was struggling at points to tell who was who 😂
I’m so proud of Jamie, I could CRY. The Samba is notoriously difficult, but it was no match for Jamie and Karen. Also, the fact that he was an amateur of dancing before the show, makes his success all the more commendable. I really want him to win, he at the LEAST deserves to make it to the Final. 🥺♥️
this is honestly one of my favourite samba choreographies i’ve seen on strictly, karen did so well emphasising the fun element of it and therefore showing off jamie’s strengths!!!
The level of improvement in Jamie's dancing is amazing!! The beginning of the dance is just beautiful - did not expect this from Jamie at all. Can't stop re-watching.
I thought that Jamie would struggle but he did so well to get an 8 from Craig and Shirley. But he did especially well to get a 9. His best dance is far.
I always find Jamie hilarious in everything he does, but I love that hes actually loving every minute of it. I certainly would and I think we can all relate 💃 Big up Karen as well she always lifts her partners up, shes like the tomboy that fits in with all the guy groups 🥰
Where am i? What world have i been transported to? I can safely say i never thought i would see Jamie excel at a latin dance let alone a samba but this was genuinely one of the best sambas I’ve seen. Shows the clear testament to karen as a teacher she somehow manages to instil such a fun love for dance into her partners which makes them naturally improve and after the fight jamie has had to be on strictly, I’m glad he is having the time of his life. At this point the sky is the limit for where this pairing could go. I’m just hoping the saying of what goes up must come down isn’t going to apply to them, time will tell. 8/10
My favourite couple,bursting with fun and joy. I voted for Jamie on the first week because I felt sorry for him,expecting him to go first after waiting a year for his chance.....now he gets my votes because he’s bloody marvellous!
GREAT sense of rhythm, wonderful synchronization between Jamie and Karen, very, very nice footwork, lot's of proper samba content... it was another routine that put a big smile on my face. Samba is a very tough dance. For the most part, it was truly FANTASTIC! His whisk for example, was probable the best whisk I've see in terms of leg action. Unfortunately, it was lacking hip action during the voltas, and his batucadas as well as his stationary samba walk, but other than that is was lovely and amazing! I absolutely LOVED his bota-fogos for example... He can be proud of himself because he has done really, really great! My score: a 7.
I think we all thought this was going to be awful but what a surprise! The rhythm and bounce were brilliant and those hip just didn't stop. It seems like the samba is Jamies' dance. 8
Absolutely perfect mirroring! Loved the whole thing, starting with the matching outfits/hair, the choreography, the perfect music - EVERYTHING. Just. JOY!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Even if he isn't the best, his improvement is great! His choreo and rhythm has improved every week and that's what I love. His energy as well was phenomenal 💙. 8

There was some great moments in there. The first 30 seconds or so were stunning. It was a really fun routine and he had some really good moments in there. I’m giving an 8

Was a little bit expecting this routine to go horribly wrong, but Karen managed to pull this samba together with Jamie and they were such fun to watch aswell. I feel like the past two weeks he's gotten a little better, 8!
Jamie’s best dance yet. He is having so much fun and is a natural entertainer - he is also improving every week so that helps. Great job, Karen on the choreo. Loved it!
Not bad, not bad at all! Good on ya, Jamie! I loved how in sync they were, especially at the beginning, where not only were their legs moving at the same time, but their strides were the exact same length. (Around the :30 mark) That was cool. You don't see that often on this show.
I just love the song because it reminds me of hollidays and puts me in a great mood, and I am very happy that the dance didn't dissapoint me either. Hearing Jamie would do a Samba this week, I thought this is it for him, but no, I actually enjoyed it. Though I didn't see one single Samba Roll in there (correct me if I'm wrong xD)
I think Karen is showing Jamie the fun aspects of the Gypsy Kings and the Gibraltar/Andalusia vibe and Sam BA, Cher step aerobics in the early 90s. Also dancing at a typical Gibraltarian Cookie party full of fun dancing. She is also taking him to Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Hotel bodyguards, an RAF air traffic control tower, a dentist and a training facility at Gatwick and a Toby restaurant. What a fun dance! I remember Gio and Georgie doing a similar dance a few years ago.
I don't know why but I was laughing throughout this entire routine from the shaking booty part until the end. This is his best dance for sure, could have been better in the technique department, and would have like to see a samba roll in the routine but that's just me. However, the bounce was visible throughout the entire routine and most of the execution was pretty solid for a Bamboleo-style Samba. It's a good week for Jaime. *8*
Latin sportdance Samba - dance inspired by Brazilian traditional dances, performed by a couple dressed as Mexicans, to a "Spanish" song with rumba gitana rhythm played by a French-gitano group. That's globalization.
Dancing to a Franco-Andaluz flamenco-style song that everyone knows including your gran, dressed as the Three Amigos, with images of Huitzilopochtli in the background. It’s as if someone at the production crew said: “Bah, it’s all Spanish, just slap it together! No-one will notice!!” Offense of the highest proportion, and an insult to the entire Hispanic world. But the dance itself was quite good, actually.
I agree!! I just thought not much thought was put into the culture of the costume, song and background. Don’t get me wrong tho I did love the dance. Just a bit disappointing. :(
@@bessieburnet9816 I mean it is, I'm mexican and the costumes and images in the background are from my culture, the Samba is from Brazil, and the song has some flamenco style... They are way too different cultures

at 1:03 I was transported back to last year when karen danced the samba with chris, they did that same move and it was hilarious then and it's hilarious now 😅😅
Well again this is a fantastic and a great alternative Samba instead of what you get on Strictly. In terms of his performance, the one thing I would say was the footwork was fantastic but it did lack in hip action. But the attempts at some tricky Samba moves was very good. 7!
What a huge change in the last few weeka. I really did think be was going to be a disaster and so full of himself, he is so happy just to be there and has pushed so hard to learn 👌👌👌👌
I loved the dance so much but I didn’t think much was considered about the differences in culture of the costume, song, dance and background. I felt like they just thought having Spanish/ Latin elements meant they could just jumble it all together. I know it’s not obvious but there is a difference.
This is exactly what I thought! never make a habit of commenting but watched this and found it actually offensive... taking a Spanish song, with a Mexican costume... and pairing it with a Brazilian dance without any having relevance to each other...went on the comments to see if anyone had noticed.
Every time I hear Samba: I ask will it be a la Oti and Danny? Which obviously disappoints me. This samba was ok. He was on point, and mirroring Karen well.
Karen always give it her all her techniquie and her persinality this was quite a good pairing but sorry jamie Karen is the real celeb great to see again after doing some beginer and improver classes i can even recognise some steps
I think Karen was very clever putting them in the same costume so you couldn't tell who was who. He definitely started very strong with great hip action, his botafogas were delightful but the cucarachas lacked attention. Voltas weren't pretty but the Stationary walk was tremendous. Again lots of solo side by side work done nicely in sync. I have to say Samba is really difficult so I was surprised as I was expecting him bottom of the table. Good energy and a defined improvement from the Cha Cha Cha. Think he could go far surprisingly but his Ballroom frame and hold will need work. *8/10* maybe 7. Overmarked
