Got7 was my first kpop group, but that does not change the fact that there was the time they did make a fuss and it even made Jamie stop acting the way she usually did. It's not all fans but there was enough for her to see

Yes, remember y'all to call her Jamie from now on. She wanted to be called Jamie under JYP but JYP told her bc people know her as Jimin she went as Jimin. But now she's officially under the name Jamie which I called her most of the time anyways :)

That was really weird! I mean 50% of asc is pure awkwardness lol but that was kinda just "why?" lol, like why did Eric and Kevin just oh so casually put her through it lol…

@@essennagerry yes! I asked myself the same thing. Although Eric seemed to not really like it either. Maybe they were forced? I think ASC put Jamie through these awful situation CONSTANTLY throughout the show bc she was literally been the only staple female host through the show's history. Literally not even guest hosts have been ever female. So they took that as an advantage to create "cute/ heart fluttering" situations that were actually uncomfortable for EVERYONE. I am quite positive no one enjoyed it. And the fact that Jamie is still stuck in that show makes me so mad. She has told the PD she wants to leave but they don't want to let her go! Obviously bc they would loose a great MC, a big part of their viewers, and the girl they can manipulate to make these "entertaining" scenarios. That's honestly so sick. I just hope she gets out of there soon 🙏

@@vickyrock5852 Oh that makes sense, and it would explain why, though Eric and Kevin "made" her do it they kinda rushed it and didn't tease her at all. It ended rather quickly and felt like they just wanted to get it over with. And, ah, I love her as a host and I don't think I could watch the show without any of these four: Jimin, Eric, Jae, Kevin. And even then Kevin and Jae on their own with someone else or perhaps even with each other - don't imagine it being very good, they're really good when they're together with Jamie, only Eric can be without Jamie and still make it good enough imo. So idk if she leaves if the show would be any good at all... The concept is good but the execution is often bad and for that reason the host definitely make-or-break the show. It'd be a shame though bcs I really like the concept. Maybe if they didn't force her into uncomfortable situations like this she would enjoy it much more and the show would be better too. There's lots of times when she obviously had a lot of fun.

@@essennagerry that's what I'm saying! I used to really enjoy the show mainly bc THEY made it real fun. And I mean the OG ASC fam (Eric, Kevin, Jamie, and even Jae). They energy and chemistry basically made the whole show, if not it would just be an ultimately cringey show. But since Eric, Kevin and Jae left I haven't really watched it lately. Or haven't even watched it all. They've changed MCs multiple times now. And most of the ones haven't really had that chemistry and fluidity the others used to have, and that kinda shows and transmits that energy throughout the episodes. The only that I think has kinda adapted is Heejun but he's still not on that level tho (I love him btw). I also don't like the new format of ASC. I know they are trying to stay fresh and hip but this new update kinda made the show cringyer and even more slow paced. Jamie not leaving the show is literally what has kept the show going. Most of the people, if not all of them, watching every single episode are watching it bc of Jamie. If she goes, they will loose most of their viewers. That's why they haven't let her go although she has told them MULTIPLE times that she wants to drop the show. And she has also been quite vocal about it in other platforms. Which I think is really abusive and selfish from Arirang's part.

The other hosts are good hosts like, in general, but just don't have that ASC x-factor to them, just as you describe. The hosts kinda made the show, and guests like Got7, Day6 and others vibed really well with the hosts, but even when groups which are shyer and/or don't know the hosts personally were on it it was still entertaining _because the hosts made it._ And I agree, the hosts we're talking about are Eric, Kevin, Jamie and Jae, even though Jae is the newest in the group. Kinda wanna see Eric and Jae as hosts just bcs we haven't had that combo and bcs they were really fun on Eric's podcast so I think they'd be great together. :D For me it's sad that Jamie doesn't want to do it anymore, but ofc I completely understand her and it's her life.

Me too, most likely Got7 will not come back to asc and even Jamie said she misses them on Eric's podcast.
