I remember Tyson talking about how he felt when his daughter was in the emergency room and he was ouside the room. He said he felt like grabbing a gun and going crazy but then saw all the other parents who also just lost their child and realized that he's not alone and said what gives me the right to go harm people when other people just lost a kid and are just comforting each other. Such a smarter man than people thought.
I think he knows that there are smarter people (otherwise why would he make a living off beating up people) but what he is is self aware and a lot of people at his level don’t have that cuz they’ve got people around them that warp reality
Mike is a real life hero. A person who is far from perfect but through all his ups and downs, figured out life itself and was able to share it to the world in his own way.
A real human imo, I respect the boxer obviously but same with the wise, story telling Mike. He is a captivating person and so is Jamie foxx (with all these stories and bits and impersonations).
I am a father of a 2 year old girl, I cried just of seeing her having stomachaches in the start, I CANNOT fathom the pain it must be to lose son or a daughter. May God keep giving Mike strength and all health for him and his family. Cheers!
It’s so good it’s scary. Everything is exact. Even the cadence It’s not only the best Tyson impersonations but one of the best ever. In just 20 seconds
" We are so very fortunate to have him in our lifetime" He is very good like you said, but you should stop worshiping celebrities they couldn't care any less about you.
the attention to detail in that last impression is mind-blowing. It's not just the lisp and the tone of voice, it's the tempo and the melody of the phrasing. The way he extends certain syllables and even adds that little voice crack, it's so. damn. good.
He got both versions right!. What got me was he caught on to the way Mike speaks now on his podcast, lighter, he elongated the last syllable in a sentence for emphasis, speech is less pressured. Both are very true.
I’m a huge Tyson fan, and Jamie Fox absolutely nailed Mikes spirit at the end of this clip, when he made the statement about not having money anymore. It’s eerie he literally was Mike at that moment the sound and the energy and the choice of words, that’s what makes a real actor, one who does not act but becomes! Wow!
I felt bad for Mike Tyson. He will always be thought of as Iron Mike, the Champ. He was on top of the world, yet he seemed so lonely. A lot of people used him for his money, as he was always in the spotlight and I think he just wanted to be like everyone else. I enjoyed watching him box, but I truly think he is a very good human being. In my opinion, he will always be the #2 best boxer in the world, right under Mohammed Ali.
@@budcunningham6732 Was thinking the exact same thing. Sometimes we have to lose it all and completely raw to be appreciative of what was in front of us the whole time.
Mike went from the most feared man of the 90's to one of the most beloved people in all the world in 2020's. Mike is in his prime right now as a human being.
One of the greatest story tellers I've ever heard. He's told this story several times and it's still so engaging each time I hear it. I love when he asks: "What's the thong song guys name?" I can tell he remembers the name each time but he ask the question anyway to keep the audience engaged. He's gifted.
@@lgmediapcsalon9440 Keep them engaged by getting them thinking what the guys name is... doesn't take a genius to gather that one and why is it some people feel the need to slip politics into everything ?
@@skyking6989 True. Cus kept the wrong people away from him. and he kept Tyson's life outside the ring under control so he'd be focused inside the ring.
Mike Tyson was a modern day gladiator that, after the roar of the crowds died, found God and found peace. He is no longer a troubled berserker, but a philosopher. This is the story.
That last impersonation when they were sitting in the garage with the cars in the background... I would have bet my life that was Mike's voice without hesitation. He completely nailed it!
From the voice.. the lisp.. the hand gestures.. the mannerisms.. Jamie hands down has the best impression of mike.. I literally closed my eyes and I was convinced it was the man himself!
Underrated? He won an Oscar and got a lot of credit for his acting work. But I haven't seen him in a good film lead role for years. He does not seem to be focused on his acting career at the moment.
Almost 44 and growing up with Tyson as my favorite boxer makes you realize to never judge a book by its cover and always pick good people around you. Love how humble Tyson is now, nothing but facts when he talks
jamie fox is a true artist. A person so talented that defies logic and make everyone wonder "how the hell does he do that?".Im sure he pratice a lot to perfect his craft, but the guy is so versatile its incredible to watch.
That's awesome that you've worked with celebrities!! I've met James Harden and Chris Paul when they played together on the Houston Rockets. They were really nice to talk to. Have a great day!! 😎👍
My husband and I ran into Jamie on the beach in Maui. he was every bit as gracious and kind as you think he would be. Those few moments with him meant the world to 2 huge fans. I hope he is healthy.
When I feeling down, not having a good day, or even tired and need a good laugh…..Jammie Fox is my go to….. I laugh so hard until I have to pee, much LOVE TO HIM AND MY FAVORITE BOXER MR MIKE TYSON ,God bless the Two BEST!
At 4:00 mins into this is hands down the single Mike Tyson impersonation ever done or will be done. He didn’t just use the everyday Mike stuff he captured the true essence of a laid back Mike Tyson. I’m convinced that played over the phone to Mikes mom would have convinced her she was on the phone with her son. Jamie fox is unbelievable talented in the true meaning of the word. Like if I told about someone who was as good at what he is good at on the level he is at, you just plain wouldn’t believe me….un…believable….
My god, when he moved from the caricature to the real accent…you forget how great of an actor this man is because of his affinity for comedy. I’m super pumped for the movie now.
@@gerber9855 "Per a new press release, the Mike Tyson biopic starring Jamie Foxx will no longer be a film, and is now a limited series with Antoine Fuqua set to direct and Martin Scorsese serving as one of the executive producers."
Holy shit, Jamies impression's of Mike are amazing. His 2nd impression of the now older Mike Tyson is bar none the best impression of another person I think I have ever heard.
Totally agree I never heard anyone come close to what Jamie just did. If you play it again and close your eyes I swear you wouldn't know the difference.
They’ve made multiple movies about him. One of the more accurate ones is; “Tyson”. Made by HBO. It’s probably still on HBO Max. I’d highly recommend it, especially if you’re just getting into Tyson.
It helps that Jamie Foxx rehearses the hell out these stories and tells it exactly the same everywhere he goes. It’s a skill to do it like it’s the first time every time. Welcome to Hollywood
Why the hell not when it brings laughter? Plus it's definitely not bullshit too cos think about it...why would any sane person make up fake stories about a man like Mike Tyson?? Unless you're in need of facial reconstruction 😂😂
Greatest voices? Uh greatest actor/talent of this generation you mean. Only this man can play ugly Wanda and eventually go on to win Grammy and Oscar. Overall, even more talented than Daniel Day-Lewis. Facts.
I've known for a while that in spite of all that ferocity, Tyson's a real dude who has been hurt in life like the rest of us! My favorite Tyson quote: "not everyone you fight is your enemy, & not everyone who helps you is your friend"!
My daughter plays tennis in the same age group as Mike’s daughter. Mike, his wife and his daughter are all wonderful. I’m glad his life has turned out this way.
Jamie is always such a great storyteller and keeps your attention no matter how exciting or casual the story may be. And I also have to say that the editing on this is just brilliant, really well put together between all three interviews and it can even be used as a great marketing tool for the upcoming movie about Mike Tyson because you can see he really has been with him throughout many different experiences of his life and has been there to directly see how he really was as a person getting to cope with everything coming to him, so just off of this video I am very interested in the movie, so again, phenomenal job with the editing on this one. Of course I'm going to check out the video in your pinned comment to see your editing skills demonstrated even further :)
I was already excited to see Jamie take on Mike in the biopic. Now I feel Jamie is in touch with the huge journey of Mike's soul... Oscar for best actor.
Jamie is so talented, he has the gift of singing, storytelling, humor and acting with his whole presence. Definitely one of the absolute greats of the century. And Mike Tyson is such a humble dude, I love both of them and I wish them all the best!
