What a find for me! First saw some videos of her with a group called Southern Gospel Revival and her voice just knocked me out. A voice that just sweeps you downstream and totally immerses you in her songs. Why she isn’t at the top of the charts with a million fans is beyond me but the best talent is often overlooked. I guarantee anyone who listens to her for the first time will be a loyal follower.
I’ve watched this at least 50 times. Crazy about the song, hopelessly in love with Jamie Lin's artistry. (Actually, I may be a little in love with her too.) There's a whole lotta heritage and influence going on here but somehow Jamie manages her own authenticity. Very nice trio work, that Gibson is a gem, the understated Tele is perfect and the song's driving energy feels like a train hitting its stride out on a long stretch of countryside. Powerful lyrics to boot. This may actually be a perfect country song, certainly country at its best.
Her country/folk sound with very little help behind her makes this a pleasure to listen to. I'll bet she could sing the phone book and make it sound good....
Jamie sei il mio angelo custode perché con la tua musica mi guidi in ogni posto dove vado. Hai una voce meravigliosa che proviene dal cuore e dall'anima. Per incantare tutti noi grazie a Dio che ci hai dato una persona così. Grazie ciao
What a talent...and a beautiful individual. It's been a pleasure meeting you, and thank you for letting us hang out with ya at the Radio Station in Ulm Germany. You are awesome.
Wow.... U've got a great Voice and U're great on playing musical instruments too.. Just love the way you sing and love ur songs too... God bless u always more songs pls? Thanks in advance.....
Unusual that half of the electric guitar looks like he spilled coffee on it, and the drummer has a maroon-colored snare with a green tom tom. But the music from those is very good, and that's what counts. Jamie looks like she's a fun person. Eyes that twinkle. : - )
@@JamieLinWilsonLive Hi Jamie. I like the chords, melody, and tempo. You're doing a C, G, and F. Basic chords connected by an original melody line that has non-standardly-timed connectivity. I found 3 different versions of this song on RU-vid and I like them all. I found your music after RU-vid suggested Courtney Patton's "Welcome Table". Usually I'm just listening to Foxes and Fossils, and Dea Matrona. I guess I'd have to go examine the tunres by Mike Ethan Messick to see if some of his other songs have some of the same characteristics as "Just Like a Heartache". Keep it up Jamie. Do more. :-)
@@scottbreseke716So far, my collaborations with MEM are mainly lyrical. Melody, tempo, chord structure - that's mine. The other song we have written together is called "The Being Gone". You definitely should check him out, as he's one of the best in the biz.
@@JamieLinWilsonLive Hmmm, I like "The Being Gone" too. Somehow the ideal synergistic elements clicked in when you wrote those songs. Creativity is like that sometimes. The inspiration comes intuitively out of nowhere.
