Even tho I'm a JDM boy at heart, as a South African that grew up up around vw's, especially golfs, and working in a shop that specializes in VW, I love every single second of this video. Can't wait for the full feature

Not a huge VW fan but this is just soooo cool. That's what I love about car culture. You can only really be into one make/type of car, but when you see a well-done collection or build of any other type, you still appreciate it the same way. This collection is marvelous.

@@pivaslifestyle7708 in SA we’ve known it as the Caddy Pickup, only in later years did VW SA release the caddy panel van which took over the Caddy name.
Coming from the UK I've got a VW T5.1 on the same wheels as the caddy, so crazy how difficult it is to even own something like that over in the States! Massive respect for the time, effort and commitment put into these builds!
Wish you got more into detail about the Citi Golf1🇿🇦🇿🇦, it was very interesting watching the videos on RU-vid when it was built here in South Africa 🇿🇦 and when it went to Vdub campfest
I would like to see the blue MK1 and also the Saveiro (we know it as the Caddy pickup) from your guy’s eyes. I’m from South Africa and myself & a friend had a small hand in that CITI Golf before it went onto stage at our biggest VW event of the year (VW Campfest) and it’s nice to see the car is still alive and kicking 😬
Anyone else detect a tiny bit of frustrated sassyness from being rushed in that “now I got 3 people watching and nobody pushing so.. gonna start it up because we’re not pushing it apparently.” 😂🤣 I just recently switched sides from JDM to Euro 2 years ago after picking up a Tiguan R, and I’m deeply in love with it 😍 I also grew to love the community immediately, and was super hyped with how cool and helpful everyone has been. The euro scene has me excited for shows again, which says a lot 😂
Both that Caddy and golf 1 are Super Common here in South Africa and Ive seen the most craziest conversions in both. Cant wait for the golf feature as they close to our heart as with all VWs in general

That VW Golf Citi with the vr6 is like the dream build for a VW Golf here in South Africa 🇿🇦, I had one that had to be sold for personal reasons so I really like this and I would love to hear the story behind it.
Love the Citi Golf. I remember seeing a few harlequins here in the UK back in their day as well. I bet a lot of people in the states would hate to know just how many caddy vans there are in the UK. Good to know the fan base is a bit more worldwide! What’s the view of The Seat brand in the USA? I might ship mine off there in just 19 years if you want a sharper Golf!

Been following Jamie for a HOT minute. Glad Larry and co. finally got out there to see what he's up to. Much deserved and can't wait for more Jamie content in the future!

The blue/white Citigolf and the purple Caddy are a dime a dozen in South Africa. Most Citigolfs are modified and considered pretty quick on the streets too. The front end is a 90's spec front whilst the dashboard in this car is out of a 2004+ Citigolf. They were available from 1.3 carb up to 1.8i. PS:The Citigolf with this color scheme was available in blue/white, red/white and yellow/white in addition to solid and metallic colors with full color coded bumpers and trim.
