I love it! Love the kids, the coach, the dedication and skill, the crazy window sounds, and the beautiful albino actors. This was just awesome overall. Glad I watched the behind the scenes. Wasn't bizarre or weird to me, but most people say I'm bizarre or weird so I guess this is up my alley lol. Time to rewatch the music video. Sometimes I dance to it, sometimes I meditate it. Just love how the bass smooths me out.

Did a tiny bit of looking- shot in Hangzhou as it says in credits, specifically 'Tianducheng' meaning 'Sky City'-hence the narration. A housing estate known for many features which replicate Paris, France inlc. Eiffel Tower, Champs Ellysee etc. (Wiki can fill you in). The Xiaolong Martial Arts Disciples likely come under the Shaolin Xiaolong Martial Arts School- poss the biggest in China with at least 8000 students. There's about 400 of them here and the kids will be studying there. Was curious so thought I'd share :). Stunning work.

Sadly they weren't capable. They are just students in some sort of a Shaolin junior school, i guess they actually came from another city to this filming scene, they may not even be allowed to use internet as they want.

I have lived in China on and off and assisted on quite a few film sets over there. This is a pretty accurate representation of not only the absurd scenes that play out in daily life in China but also the tension and strangeness of Chinese/Western film sets... Great watch!

When I watch this music video, I actually feel like I have transported to an entirely different place and time. It has such a powerful cognitive effect just watching it on a 16 inch tv. I can't imagine what it would feel like to watch this in a movie theater. Probably overwhelming, but in a good way. To the person who directed the music video, I hope you get a chance to make a short film or feature film cause damn! your vision is so cinematic. We need more directors like you.

Gosh. Here I am in 2020, amazed by this 13 minutes video. First time this song came out with the official video, I listened to it repeatedly, just 1 song, on loop, while speculating about the meaning of the video itself. This song becaming my source of energy while I was doing my thesis in late 2016/early 2017. After I watched this BTS, I kinda have a mixed feeling about these kids, and wondering about a lot of stuffs. Sorry for the long post, I just wanna share my appreciation to all the people that make this video exist.

I felt the same. The tune, sound combination is very moving; almost Zen-like...😏💓. I hope the kids got paid SOMETHING. I think this was a profound piece of live art which described the elderly gentleman's philosophy about nature in relation to our existence. BTW, congratulations on your thesis. I had to do one for master's and dissertation for my Doctorate; so looong and exhausting!😥✍🏾👨🏾‍💻📚📑 I finished in 03 and 12, respectively. I'm glad to be finished!😅 What did you study?

I wonder if these kids even choose to do this or not?? Either way, what does it say about the music artist when they use these kids for a music video, and doesn't inform them about 2 million Uyghurs in concentration camps... charged with no crimes at all. Just thrown in their for their language/culture/religion. As well as treatment of Mongolians and Tibetans. They take Uyghurs, split wives from husbands... split children from their parents and put them through incarcerated re-education camps. Systematically forcing them to renounce their religion and worship the Chinese state. The word Horror doesn't even begin to describe what your existence would be as a Uyghur in China.

yeah amazes me how it's misty everywhere in China, but not mist, just pollution blocking the sunlight. I recently saw a docu/travel program and the Chinese guide from Shangai travelled with the crew almost the whole of China to reach the other coast ... all of a sudden she was looking up the all time. The Belgian docu maker asked, are you amazed by the blue skies here? And yes she was ... sad in a way -_-

When the pollution from industry and sand from the desertification of China blows over Korea, it's called Hwangsa, or as English-speakers like myself call it, yellow dust season. It's so thick, people absolutely have to wear masks, it's advised to avoid going outside, and after it rains, the water and dust combine to look like millions of gallons of canary yellow latex paint running down the road.

China has its own Paris, its own London and its own Venice. The music video uses this repeatedly as a theme of the "copies" (albinos are the original, the rest of the wannabies are replicated have their hair dyed idolizing the original albinos as fanboys who orbit around the original, and all of this is happening in a decrepit copy of the original cities)

i felt like it was pretty chilly outside, there was little to no margin of error that was being afforded to these lads. some of them were rather displeased with the dyed hair situation. the track suits were stylistically on point. the exhaust paired well with the latent acidity in the air. the eiffel tower remained unwavering in its mock pride. all the optic lenses, all the quick side-eyed glances. shouts of uncertainty were met with nervous enthusiasm as the cohesion unceremoniously coalesced.

Always loved this song, just found this behind-the-scenes video. Wish there was an explanation on who came up with this, they must have been tripping out on some strong sh*t. In case you can't read chinese, the kids in this video appear to be quite literally Shaolin disciples (kids from a Shaolin academy).
