There's something about "Dynamite"-era Jay Kay that I just like so much. His look, energy, attitude, and signature dance moves were just so great (and still are, but this era just holds a special place in my heart). I really like his look here for some reason, something about that style of sunglasses suits him very well. And of course this is yet another fantastic performance from Jay and the rest of the band as well. I liked how it had a more jazzy/orchestra sound to it. 🫶
Man. I just remembered this and was like 'I wonder if it's on youtube' and it is. My Nan watches this show, I saw him on it and bought one of his albums the very next day. It's one of my guilty pleasures. Like, it's not my kind of music by any stretch of the imagination but for some reason I love it. When I'm feeling down this song specifically is one of the few things that can cheer me up.
I remember this song came after Godzilla movie sountrack Deeper Underground.... It's been so long ago.... And the dancers, my gosh! those legs could kill. Just checked the movie was released in1998?!?!? and this song is from 1999?!?!?! Also this song was featured in a beat game for Nintendo DS Lite called Elite Beat Agents from 2006 played the crap of it... 2 decades ago... Holy shit I'm getting old!!!
