Why do people wash their chicken? It's the most unhygienic thing to do. You're splashing raw chicken germs all over the sink and around the kitchen !!!
Yeh can do but best to keep it skin side down and just put a lid over pan to steam it a bit 👍🏼not unless u want it to break up and have soggy fish skin 🤢 but all a matter of preference really 👍🏼
why do people always go on about washing chicken? I worked in a professional kitchen for nearly 4 years cooking dishes from fresh and did a food hygiene course and never heard about washing the chicken... The heat kills the bacteria, washing it with cold water is going to do fuck all.
I know I’m gonna get crucified for this but how is putting water on raw meat, causing bacteria to splash around the kitchen helping in anyway? Surely you’re not actually killing any germs by putting cold water on raw meat.
You're right, it's more a cultural thing than a hygiene thing but oh well. Also most people who wash meat in their sink disinfect their sink after doing it so no harm.
They don't, I had a white colleague eat rice next to me and he complained that it was starchy so I told him you need to wash it and get a rice cooker. I changed his life.
