I find my keyboard's heavy to carry. If I was to gig I would just take my keystep and laptop.....but that minifreak look small to carry around.....but I think they cost 600 euro.....i will not be my any music stuff anytime soon haha.
I have the minifreak awesome Synth , Your Music vibes are truly Magnificent, thanks for your stream and talent. looking foward to catch more of your streams. Cheers!
I wish I were as good as you! ☺ I have the Micro with several FX pedals, but not the Mini. I hope you & the family are doing well 🤗. Please continue to bless us with your music. 🥰
Nice work! I've been watching a lot of your vids lately. Really enjoying them. I'm looking to get my first synth and was sold on the Microfreak, but now thinking about the Minifreak. I only want one, but I'm having the worst time deciding. Is the micro too limiting as and only tool? Can you get the same sounds out of both? I'm not a keys player, and new to synths. Which would you choose if you could only do one? Looking to keep gear to a minimum, but also have the ability to play live as well as with a daw. Keep the good music coming!
The Microfreak was my first synth, and I purchased a Minifreak when it came out. I think both a great pieces of gear, though I think the Microfreak stands out more for its cost. The Minifreak has more competition from similarly priced gear. It's going to depend on your use case. Personally, if I had to pick one of them now, I would choose the Minifreak, but the limitations of the Microfreak were great for learning. Having said that, I wouldn't have enjoyed the Microfreak as much if I didn't already have effects pedals to add reverb, delay, etc. As a standalone device, I think the Minifreak is great in that regard, as the onboard effects are very decent (I think the reverbs in particular are nice). If you're looking to work with a DAW, the Minifreak has the added benefit of coming with a free copy of its VST version, Minifreak V. The integration between hardware and software is also nice; you can use the Minifreak to control parameters in the VST and vice versa.
This is beautiful stuff. I get such a kick out of the ‘Freak siblings. Just as soon as you think you’ve got it in hand it turns around and surprises you with something or Arturia slaps a fresh coat of paint on it by way of firmware update and you have a whole new set of functionalities to explore. I think it’ll be a long time before anyone tops the Freaks 🎉
Awesome jam again. I liked all parts of todays jam, it sounded deep and richly textured in a minimal context. Can you use the volca drum again before the month is over. I love the vdrum
