Owned for 5 years. Works fine. Software updates fixed the initial problems and the current version is great and does need to USB driver / Serial Number from the DI Speaker to work. Feed out to your guitar amp or PA and you're loud and bold or just use with headphones. Can use multi effects of wah in front end as well. Software great for it intended purpose...learning and jamming. Load songs or backing tracks and loop phrases to learn lick, slow down songs to match your speed and skill. Eliminate the guitar part may require some adjustments, but if you can get most of the original guitar out you can play over it which is great. This effect depends on how the original song was recorded and the software can only do so much if the recording was done with layered channels, etc. Besides if you could eliminate the guitar and have the original artist/band as your backing band that would be copyright infringement. SO you have your laptop and the little speaker box and you can go anywhere. Play with mp3 backing tracks or songs, youtube videos, instructional software or videos anytime without trouble. Mic it or run direct to PA and perform. Hard to find now. Yamaha has the THR series which available and Roland has the CUBE series with iCube link and software that has similar functions including the guitar elimination.
Can you record your own songs? Like without any background music at all. Just jam by yourself or do u have to play and record it with a different band's music
How is this a "review" and not a commercial? I agree with the DeMarco bashing comments. Sounds and looks like Eddie Haskell with a mop on his head. I've been looking at the reviews. Seems to have a problem with Macs.
Anything the ShitMarco brothers recommend is worth a pass... I was thinking of getting this because it's really cheap but i would rather get some beer and some smoke and call it a day... I have the ToneLab SE anyway. I do love that. At least it doesn't sound like bee's in a can.
