I've just discovered this composer and am lamenting the years I did not know him. I sometimes find Bach's (and others') messes too long and scholarly and Zelenka's is so balanced harmony, melody an rhytmwise that I am speechless. Glory to Zelenka.

Cum Sancto Spiritu and Credo are among my favorites. I think Magdalena Kožená recorded the part at the time of her studies at the academy, before she became famous.

Imagine: almost all those authors were forgotten for so long. But we should be joyous, for now we can spend our entire lives rediscovering all these treasures!!!

One discovers music in strange ways, one can be random searches another is recommendations. But finding music because I watches random videos of Yanderes spaghetti code is quite the most unique way I ever discovered music. The closes to this one would be getting an assignment of watching a video about farming and the intro song that was used for it was an obscure song that was pleasant to the ears. The journey is always the strangest thing, sometimes if feels like fiction but that the reality, a pleasant and the most unpleasant one.....but I don't regret it.

Qui tollis is also a fugue, if it' s possible, you should note it in the description.

@Polomokipo. Your list is not chronological , ending in 1750 ....when Handel and especially Telemann continued to write oratorio/ cantata and opera after then.

What do you mean by 'anything else'? Is there any form / genre that you are thinking of, specifically?
