I like the Best of Jan Hammer's Crockett's Theme where it has those plant watering balls that I guess have to much Oxygen from Synthesizer's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 to work the way I work things.

Great script but somewhat ruined by Don Johnsons miserable performance. From Tubbs to utter sideroles like Phil Collins acted better. Don Johnson was like rubber dildo desperatelly trying to act like real dick.

I am 58 and I remember the old days, when we All were young.. it’s something that won’t never be back.. but this Music.. it’s Dreadful.. every time I hear this one, it looks as if Sonny & Rico were still with us.. i live in Italy, and there’s a TV Who’s airing the Whole series again.. every morning at 7.30. Didn’t loose a single episode! Great Show, no matter what someone say about fashion, colours and so on..

Thats how i lived back then. I'm still alive, becuz i knew when to get out.😎

And it served from inspiration to GTA Vice City as well

You are comparing a 80s tv show with a modern feature film. I don't compare the two. And the director of the film. also worked on the tv show. He knew he could never re-create the series so he didn't even try. Instead he made something different. Cop action movies where dead when Miami Vice movie came out. Things like Lethal weapon and Heat, they where no longer being made. . in the end Miami vice was a cop action movie turned into a television show. I see this film as a homage to that genre long lost forgotten. And in that sense I think it did good job. It's a nice cop movie. Not to be compared to tv show that is decades old been on the air like 10 years with character and actors that you knew and loved. How can anything re-create or compete with that? The only problem wit Miami Vice the movie is that it is called Miami Vice. If it where another title people would not have complained so much. But changes are he could never have found a producer or studio to have produced the film with out calling it Miami Vice because it was a genre that no longer sold. But re-hashing old tv series where fashion at that time.

​@@VintageTape1982 Miami Vice TV show is so amateurish and non-slick compared to what you see now on TV. I realized this when I saw some episodes recently. But when I saw it in the early 1980s it had me entranced, mystified and hooked. The show was very cool and happening back then. The Vice movie was good in it's own right with some great scenes such as the impromptu boat ride to Havana and scenes in Havana.
