WoW!!! I just found this and I am STILL in love with Jan~Michael Vincent!! I fell in love with him in 1973 or around there.I mean REALLY in love. I even wrote a letter I really wanted to send him (never even thought about writing a letter to anyone else in my whole life ((a celebrity) ) but I chickened out and never sent it. I even had a pic of me to send him!!! He was the most gorgeous man I ever laid my eyes on and I saw every single movie that he was in!!!! I guess you are a fan, too??? LOL
Oh glory, finding this now he has gone...This song will always recall a beautiful & talented man.Miss you so much Jan.Fly high with eagles n go catch yourself a cresta.RIP cariño.🌹💔🏄🚁🐺
@@ambervincent1 no one has a perfect life. Jan was a very talented actor that should be remembered for that and not by his downfalls. I am not making excuses for his alcohol and drug addictions but there has been a lot of Hollywood actors and actresses fell short because of those habits. Jan had the alcoholism stacked against him from the beginning because his father and grandfather were alcoholics.
All these comments lamenting about a very down to earth guy that obviously lost his way, where ever he is with his wife Anna I hope he has found peace in his heart with her, he was my teenage pin up, Brad Pitt doesn't even come close to this guy, I just watched Sandcastles, it still gets me teary and is a ghost story. Jan is no ghost I wish him all the best all the nasty comments on this page about alcholism, it's a disease that takes over mind body and soul. Hopefully Jan will overcome it.
JL Herrington:No,he was not the Brad Pitt of his day.Brad is a good actor, but Jan was the Jan Michael of his day.Two different, talented people.RIP cariño.
@@suzietrecallion1042 to Jan's women fans like myself (Lucinda, which I am using my husband's account to comment) he was sexier than Brad Pitt and Jan was sure one hell of an actor! He is greatly missed
I never really got to see Jan much before "Big Wednesday" when I was immersed in surfing culture. He was an inspiration then. Lovely guy. Time is the fire in which we all burn.
:42, 1:01, 1:16, 1:36, 1:40 ( So young and innocent), 1:45, 2:06, 3:20. And my absolute favorite, 3:00. Ooh, I love that hair. I still love you JMV. I hope you take care of that beautiful mind and body that you STILL have~ Thanx opalbabe! I am gonna favorite this
I wish they show airwolf again on TV that was nice on 80s my teen age young life why good looking people always die young or no more movies wish you best Vincent ❤😂
from Michael nowotarski I was in hit list with Jan Michael Vincent this is no bull shot when I was filming hit list I never got a chance to meet him but I meet the other actors in the movie
I remember back in the day I read an article in Playgirl magazine he said "I like to feel lean and hungry" and I thought, what a dude he was! Soooooooooooo SAD:( I also for got how much I use to love Barry Manilow!
I understand he passed in February of 2019. But reading the comments it sounds like he passed 6 to 8 years ago. I guess a couple bad marriages and having your leg amputated would put anyone in a deep depression and cause them to self medicate. But a couple comments kinda made it sound like it he found religion this wouldn't have happened. Hypocrites. These fanatics always have to get on their high horse and spout their crap. I believe it was cardiac arrest not liver/kidney failure. A man lost his life and that's sad,let his family and friends and fans grieve . I do remember seeing The Worlds Greatest Athlete when I was a kid at the local theater. He seemed like a nice guy.
@breezeman199 Addiction is addiction no matter what your status is. Sure fame, looks and money make it easier to obtain the poison of choice, but you need to remember it's something that effects people across all ranges.

So sad, he had such potential. He had it all, great looks, great build and already a movie star but booze took over the rest of his life and he has lost his looks and his speech is affected and also affected him mentally. Such a waste--TOo bad no one could help him
I feel so sorry for this guy..... he just destroyed himself, and why??? I can never understand why those who have success act as if their lives suck. Even if everything else sucks, you still have a lot going for you, so it can still be better. Watch this newer video..... Man, that is so sad that he did this to himself. youtube /watch?v=daMTWhN2UDk
Actually I am an atheist, although I was raised and educated as a Roman Catholic. Your inaccurate 'guess' seems like you are engaging in projectionism.
Perhaps you could get out of your high holy tower of righteousness and actually learn about alcoholism. It is a disease and a very hard one to beat. I was for many years a Chaplain, and I know how hard people try, but the body becomes addicted and just stopping on your own can lead to the crazy behavior we see in stars like Mel Gibson. Alcoholism takes away all your higher spiritual focus and leaves you at almost an animal level, seeking just to satiate the pain of alcoholism.
