Jan Werner - Anthem 2004 

Every time I hear this guys voice, I shed a tear. His voice is angelic. Such a huge loss to the world of music. I sang this song for a show in college and Jan Werner inspired me to do it. Thank you Jan, Rest In Peace buddy. -3

This man had the passion to be whatever he was singing...and in any arena, that will trump any other performance. ANY.......Jan is a magnificent talent, taken from all of us much much to soon....like many of the greats in life.

I have this one back to back with the version he did at 17 and the growth is amazing- what a sad loss for allof us- but thanks to those likeour host- we still have Jan!

Sad that he died so young, only 30 years old. I've heard that he struggled a lot with self confidence. And maybe by the fact that he was bi-sexual - I don't know... I loved him and his voice wether he was gay, bi or str8! R.I.P, Jan Werner! May You always be with us!!

jan werner Danielsen died of heart failier of some kind,for those who doesen`t know. the very best of singers in Norway and as soon as he took his last breath,people started talking about selling his most intimet side of life. He had never told annyone if he was gay or not in the medie,but his family sold his secret as soon he was dead.i hope God and Jan W D forgive them fore their love of money,and us other for not taking care of a person with such a gift from God!

I like his voice, but his technique is a little weird. Maybe it comes from the fact that English isn't his second language, but he's clipping his vowels in some words, examples- Connnnnnnnnnnnnquer instead of coooooooooooonquer, counnnnnnnnnnnnnnntry, instead of cooooooooooooountry. That was one thing my choir teacher hated the most. Other than that, he just doesn't do it for me. Certainly not bad, though, I can't do it any better.
