Sticky back tape is glue. Cover with a cloth and iron over the top with a hot iron. It will heat up the glue and you can remove it in one with the cloth - Very easy! ;)
Its 2022 right now, i stuck up a stranger things poster with sticky foam pads and my mum got so angry at me bc of the foam bits left behind. I tried this and it came off soo quickly. Tysm
I used club soda and napkins to remove a foam sheet from my stainless steel refrigerator. The tip about using a dry surface definitely helps a ton! Thank you!
good tip. i live in an apartment and the bedroom has no overhead light source so go a led light switch but realized adhesive is pretty darn strong. i will live in apartment for another year or so. so worried about when i move how to remove.
Thank you, I put up a photo collage wall (stupidly using mounting tape) and I had four pieces of sticky foam on each picture with 100 pictures, I wasn’t interested in taking a whole day on four hundred pieces of mounting tape on my wall so this along with the tips in the comments are really saving my ass.
WD40 really works on tape adhesive spray it on marks rub it with your fingers leave for 20 seconds and rub off with cotton wool and it will not take off any paint.
I ( always keep WD40 around ). It has SO many uses and glue seems to hate it. Only I've never tried it on adhesive that is bound to paint especially flat paint. So I'm just throwing this out there. I think if all else was to fail I would try to spray it on a q-tip and give it a whirl.
I don't know y RU-vid recommend this but what I did is cut and put normal pvc wallpaper and put foam wallpaper on that so when I remove the foam it's very easy and wall also fine
Thank you a lot! This helped me a lot. The cotton ball was the most important material I should say. I had old sticker stains that used to be covered with mirror tiles on the entire walls. Now it is cleaned and ready to paint. I'm so happy! Except I spilled the white spirit......half of them while I was cleaning... on the floor....HAHAHA
White spirit (AU, UK and Ireland)[note 1] or mineral spirits (US, Canada), also known as mineral turpentine (AU/NZ), turpentine substitute, and petroleum spirits, is a petroleum-derived clear liquid used as a common organic solvent in painting.[1] There are also terms for specific kinds of white spirit, including Stoddard solvent and solvent naphtha (petroleum). White spirit is often used as a paint thinner, or as a component thereof, though paint thinner is a broader category of solvent.
Not sure a UK link would be any good. If it is just search B&Q or Screwix. Thanks for the valuable tip. The suggestion of using mineral spirits worked for me. I also used Gorilla Masking tape to help peel the gooie adhesive on the door I cleaned.

I use Zoff adhesive remover wipes. Great for crafting. Stumbled across the via my porter partner who brought me a few home to clean foam residue off scissors. They are brilliant.
Thank you. I Had eight small mirrors and was dreading this job but it was ridiculously easy. I used a sturdy dry cloth after the white spirit rub, and it all came off. There's absolutely no marks on the wall.

I suspect the ingredient you need is white spirit. This is from Wikepedia: White spirit (UK & Ireland)[note 1] or mineral spirits (US, Canada), also known as mineral turpentine (AU/NZ), turpentine substitute, and petroleum spirits, is a petroleum-derived clear liquid used as a common organic solvent in painting.[1] There are also terms for specific kinds of mineral spirits, including Stoddard solvent and solvent naphtha (petroleum). Odorless mineral spirits (OMS) have been refined to remove the more toxic aromatic compounds, and are recommended for applications such as oil painting. A mixture of aliphatic, open-chain or alicyclic C7 to C12 hydrocarbons, white spirit is insoluble in water and is used as an extraction solvent, as a cleaning solvent, as a degreasing solvent and as a solvent in aerosols, paints, wood preservatives, lacquers, varnishes, and asphalt products. In western Europe about 60% of the total white spirit consumption is used in paints, lacquers and varnishes.[1] White spirit is the most widely used solvent in the paint industry. In households, white spirit is commonly used to clean paint brushes after use, to clean auto parts and tools, as a starter fluid for charcoal grills, to remove adhesive residue from non-porous surfaces, and many other common tasks. The word "mineral" in "mineral spirits" or "mineral turpentine" is meant to distinguish it from distilled spirits (distilled directly from fermented grains and fruit) or from true turpentine (distilled tree resin). You also need a pallet knife and cottonwool. Hope this helps.
