14:27 If you want true pain, try attacking a barrel or crate or literally anything in the environment if there's a single enemy anywhere within aggro range. You will laser target them and ignore the energy barrel no matter how hard you try, to the point of some of those barrels being literally unbreakable until after the fight is already over and they're no longer needed.
Early on i would play a lot with high pressure aggression, there are only a handful that are truly awful, and some are beneficial or at least usable. The 5th corruption makes pressure ignorable if you've been tailoring which you remove, especially since a few corruptions have pressure related downsides. So if you cant gain more pressure, then you cant get one of the bad ones like dodge CD or less resonium choices. And the 5th corruption does nothing until the very end. That isn't tru anymore for withering garden though, corruption 5 isnt just a stats change, you get those from the intensity selectors at the start. Withering c5 is brutal instantly and rough mid fight too, so where i would almost welcome corruptions in the past, in the Withering garden i work much much harder to avoid corruptions. I almost enjoy juggling corruptions trying to find things like healing after combat or gaining extra gear coins, constantly trying to buy risky transactions to stay at c5 while removing bad effects like off field energy drain. Its just too scary in the garden, so i end up going for the money mods instead usually haha
Listen Kets I don't appreciate you talking poopie about the targeting system since it's downright the best thing about ZZZ. How else would we know that we are, in fact, targeting the wrong enemy and that we should give away control of the game to the AI while we go eat rocks? It really is the most important lesson a gacha will teach us. All of them including WuWa, Genshin, ZZZ, Honkai Impact, all that have a real time combat system of some kind will trach you the absolute truth: the giant monstrosity currently murdering you and butchering your friends is not your real enemy. Instead look at that vile, insane, devilish, abhorrent, DOWNRIGHT INFERNAL butterfly to the side, trying to pollinate a flower who is the true threat to peace and the stability of the entire world. Kill it first and maybe afterward we're allowed to hit the boss, if we're nice maybe.
There's def some jank in this boss fight with how the camera just loses the ability to lock on when it goes to certain moves and gets i-frames. That and the roots never getting health bars or off screen attack arrows like every other enemy in the game. Still gotta go get that late shiyu defense camera jank where a second or third boss will steal your camera lock when you dodge their move during a combo on the stunned one. They made a camera that can't handle multiple enemies then made all the difficulty having simultaneous bosses -_-
14:20 now you are encountering the camera issues. Been saying the auto lock-on and auto target system sucks for quite some time now. They ought to give us an option to opt out of it.
Just don't use lock on since it just swaps randomly at times. When unlocked, the character will auto target the physically closest targetable object to them so it gives some control as to who you fight.
i know kets don't read no comments, because that would make the game easier, but there is a lock on button specifically for big boss battles with annoying goons.

14:21 I hate the target system for this boss so much too. Especially because the boss wont stay STILL and summons a lot of mobs there should at least be a target feature or an option to remove the auto targeting 😢
Qingyi actually works pretty well with Jane, You just need Seth for that team instead of Zhu Yuan. So your team really isn't all that bad, just not optimized. Also nice FF14 music.
I’m putting my life savings into Jane and I’m still not getting her.. I’m starting to think this game just hates me. I always need to get a guaranteed S, otherwise I just don’t get it 😔 I’m literally broke as a joke I don’t know how I’m going to get herrrr
also defeating that flower boss should give you access to more sub quest with the same modifier of dispute node shiyu defense (spoiler alert: you might fight certain agent "wink" wink") once you talk to them about inferno reaper mission , but iwont say anything else cause half the fun is finding it for ones self :D
