Her voice just feels like a warm familiar hug that I don't want to end, I love listening to how she interprets the song as she goes along. Beautiful old-school charm delivered with such a warm gorgeous tone, absolutely divine!!

Jane is such a wonderful artist. I saw her in Oakland in 2017, and she was amazing. She sang a few songs in Portuguese and I was in heaven.

Marvelous singer ... she swings so well .... her timing is flawless. I remember her as a young singer at the Oak Room in the Algonquinn ,,,,, she has perfect pitch ...

@@jacquelinepaul9731 To me ... the pitch is the sound of the note ... in a particular key, (Scale )the notes are all relative to each other. Perfect pitch is when the sound of each note, relative to each other makes for a more accurate and pleasing song. When someone is in good pitch, the sound is good. When someone is in perfect pitch ... you can tell the different. That's why pianos are tuned every once in a while. I sing in off key ... unfortunately.

I honestly thought no one could ever perform this song as well as Bobby Darin. I have been proven wrong. Not only is she better than Rosemary Clooney and Judy Garland, she is better than any of the jazz singers with the exception of Frank Sinatra. I sincerely hope her singing career has made her a multimillionaire because she deserves it,

I wish these bloody up and coming singers would have the bloody courtesy to mention the writers of these magnificent songs from the Great American songbook. "How About You?" is a popular song composed by Burton Lane, with lyrics by Ralph Freed. in 1941.

Have to admit that i had a bit of trouble recognizing her in the glasses and non-glam get-up... i'd be honored if some Jane Monheit fans would take a quick listen to my acoustic RU-vid performance (keyboard & vocal) of WATERS OF MARCH, which was inspired by Jane's great interpretation of the song's English lyrics in her version with Kenny Barron. Lovely song sung great, Wow folk going on about her weight ??? Probably jealous .... Great time, nice phrasing cracking arrangement and wonderful trio and swings like a garden gate. What's not to like :-)

How about you was written by composer Burton Lane, with lyrics by Ralph Freed in 1941. Jane Monheit , like most modern singers today, doesnt even mention the writers of the song that is helping her make a living.
