One of thee best performances ever. And Janet is so brave, you can imagine she was still in the early stages of grieving. I'm sure Michael was and is so proud of her and the entire team. This was so iconic.

7:58...FINALLY Tina back at the helm even if it was for just a short while. Idc what nobody say...she does the best work with Janet, because they are actually friends in real life since 1986. Paula did good for the time they were in. Anthony Thomas matched the mood of Rhythm Nation. But Tinas choreography brought out the woman in Janet for her janet.album and tour. She turned her into artist du'jore with Velvet Rope.

Janet is such a beautiful and strong woman to do this tribute to her brother so soon after his passing. It's a shame that weasel Robson had to be involved, but still a beautiful tribute to an amazing artist.

It would've been awesome if Paula Abdul, Anthony Thomas, Jeffrey Daniel and the Taluega Brothers were in the tribute as well. Interesting fact: Tina Landon also danced with Michael in "Smooth Criminal"

I remember watching these VMAs live. I cried so hard when they did Scream. Also, if you pay attention, I also felt like it was a culture change that was not necessarily for the best. All these new artists who became huge that year are still very present in the charts more than a decade later, and I don’t feel like most of them are as innovative as artists Like Michael, Janet, and to this, i’ll add Tina Landon, and Brian Friedman. These two created some of the most iconic choreography for pop music in the 1990’s and 2000’s. I’ve always heard that the more you grow up, the more you “don’t understand” the generation after you and can be quite critical of it for nothing. But in case of Music and Entertainment, we really peaked between 2005-2009. Most artists I listen to these days are indie artists or music from other countries from that era. This is not about nostalgia.

I highly appreciate the honor and hard work put into this tribute, seconds go by so fast its tremendous to see this work together in history

Looking back watching this makes me sick to my stomach seeing Wade Robson being there involved with Michael's tribute, and knowing now what much later he's gonna do to Michael, and turn his back completely against Michael, very heartless, and evil to accuse M.J on molesting him, it makes me wonder even here as he did this tribute , if he was of course riding along with Michael's success and fame using m j as a attached association to. Further his career and if he had got molested why even do the vma tribute, usually when people have been hurt by someone ,they'd cutoff any ties or association with whom ever. Abused them.
