This woman was never afraid to share the spotlight with anyone. She basked in her own light and had others shine their light around her. What kind of artist takes their time to acknowledge each dancer they worked with? Only Janet.
Yes Janet is very giving...Did you see the video when she visited her dancers dressing room and brought them vegan pizza that her chef made...and then she ended up flat-ironing one of her mail dancers hair and when her makeup artist asked her what she was doing, Janet quipped; "flat-ironing, I'm working..." It was so sassy and so Janet....and so funny.
Honey, it's not the age that matters. People who are 35 aint moving like that. American focus too much on age, that's why I don't tell anyone my age. I know your intentions is not to be like'REALLY? But Janet isn't the only woman in history to have a baby in her 50's that was done way before her...read the Bible.
Denny Robey - I was quoting her from the video, because it was cute and funny. I am not making any statement about her age. You misunderstood....honey.
You have some class Hutch cuz i would have went off on that Denny for getting the shyt twisted like that when all u did was quoted Janet, had Denny paid attention to the video he or she would have understood that!!!!
Her brother never did anything like this where he gathered all of his dancers from 30 years on one stage and thanked them each personally. Nobody has ever done anything like this.
This shows you just how well Janet has treated people down through the years. Even Lil John Roberts (Jill Scott's son's father) says he would tour 2 years with Janet in a heartbeat. I can't really see Rhianna or Ciara or Beyonce oe Ariana doing this. I look at this large group of dancers, that represent the entire span of her career, are from all walks of life, ethnicities, socio-economic strata and geo-social cultural interactions (Hawaiian to Hood to Hipster to Hillbilly), AND, all these people serve as witnesses and guaradians of Janet's legacy, and, to an extent the legacy of The Jacksons as a whole cuz the family name is on her now--just beautiful.
If you watch the full length video for That's The Way Love Goes, she's the one who takes the tape out of Janet's hand and then at the end looks directly into the camera 😂
omg!!!!! this brought tears to my eyes... especially seeing Tina Landon and Janet hugged, and shared the same stage again!!!!.... I so want her back with Janet!!!! ... Those were THE GOLDEN ERAS of Janet... the eclectic and fantastic choreography during the janet. and velvet rope albums were MY FAVOURITES, besides Rhythm Nation... I hope Janet with work with Tina again!
I mean, I'm a huge M fan. Obviously her shows are tremendous and, lately, much larger scale. But, for some reason, M's dancers haven't gone on to be as high profile in the dance world or maintain careers at as high of a level as many of Janet's dancers. Clearly Blonde Ambition was epic, but, as we saw on the recent documentary, the dancers mostly went downhill afterwards. Janet's dancers/choreographers have gone on to choreograph for countless other artists, serve as judges on dance competition television shows, and become stars in the dance world. Also, and I think this is much more important, Janet has maintained friendships and ties with so many of her dancers. I really wish M would have done the same. No disrespect to M or her plethora of dancers of course.
Ewwwww when she introduced Tina and talked about Tish’s journey….ONLY Janet could make her dancers feel so appreciated and treat them with so much respect!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤦🏾♂️😭👍
I've seen all the dancers from the Rhythm Nation to All for You tours. I've always loved how Janet was around "The kids," and watching this brought back a lot of great memories!!
oh my god!!!! this was so exciting!!! so many janet fans wanted this reunion, it was truly awesome and emotional. she ended up having a bigger family than the jacksons lol
OH I WISH I was there...Janet up there dancing with A LOT people she has worked with before since her first Tour, The Rythmn Nation Tour...many of the choreographers and back-up dancers she has worked with since 1986, this was epic, this was history, NO, I am wrong, this was HER-STORY...!!!
Paula Abdul should have been there also seeing that she choreographed all the music videos off of Janet's " Control " album, and I don't know this for sure but I don't think that Paula could dance to the choreography of the Rythmn Nation song because she inured her back and is living with Chronis Back Pain and can't dance as well as she used to be able to, her movements are limited and not fluid as they once were. Her ove, her passion for dancing, starting off as a Laker Girl and then being the main Choreographer for the Laker Girls and some of the men from the Jackson 5 asked who was the choreographer for the Laker Girls and they were introduced to Paula and they hired her to choreograph their music video " Torture and then they hired her to choreograph the Jackson's " Victory " Tour and then Paula became the " IT " girl, everyone who was making music videos with dancing, they all wanted Paula to choreograph their music videos and then the world ha gotten to know who Paula Abdul was when she had won the MTV Award for choreographing Janet Jackson's music video for Janet's song " Nasty " ... Paula was a huge part of the music video era of the mid to late 80's and early 90's, especially when she became her own choreographer when she started a solo singing career, and having 3 albums, selling over 50 million albums worldwide and as I said she was an integral part of the music video era of the mid to late 80's and early 90's, working with The Jackson's, Janet Jackson, George Michael, ZZ Top, and many other music artists, so in NO WAY is Paula a " one hit Wonder" or a " washed up singer/ dancer " and she was NOT addicted to prescription pain meds because of her Chronic Back Pain, she is dependent on them so she could walk and live her life without being in agonizing paecause of her being a Judge on a new " Star Search" type pf TV show named " American Idol " and then with the help of fellow American Idol Judge, music producer Randy Jackson, NOT Randy Jackson as in Janet Jackson's brother, so fellow Iol Judge Randy Jackson produced one of Paula's last 2 songs/ singles to this date and the name of the song is " Dance like There Is No Tomorrow " and she performed it LIVE during the pre-game show for Super Bowl XLII (42) on February 3rd, 2008, and to date she has sold 53 million albums worldwide an she only had three albums but a total of 5 albums were produced and the 4th album was a something like a " Best of Paula Abdul " and the 5th was/ is also a Cardio-Exercising album with Paula being the "Teacher" of the workout album, which ws made before she permanently injured her back so 5 total albums and her choreography for other artists and her solo career and her salary being an American Idol Judge and her Net worth to date is $30 Million dollars, and she earned every dime of that money. It's just sad that the one thing she loved so much an was, at the beginning her meal ticket, hr work s a choreographer and then BAM, one missed choreographed move and she can't really choreograph or dance anymore...well she can still dance but her movements are limited, and not smooth, not fluid as they once were...and as far as me, I STILL LOVE listening to Paula's music and watching her music videos and her dancing...
I been waiting to see a lil ghetto come out in janet, I knew she had it in her, yeah girl that's what i'm talking about. She's a beautiful class act, knows when to turn it on & off!
So much history here...I was born in 1980 on the nose and have been with Janet the whole ENTIRE way, which means so many of the dancers mean SOOOO much to me, especially Tina, Anthony Thomas, all the Rhythm Nation dancers, Nicki Pattenburg, Kelly Kono, Tyce Diorio from New York(in my Velvet Rope Janet voice)... Shawnette, etc. Rhythm Nation crew for the nostalgia, Janet crew for the fun, Velvet Rope crew for the bond and closeness, All For You for the diversity(Jenna Dewan)...etc, etc. She's had a good crew over the years.
tataboi nossaj yea I was told they fell out because Tina finance at the time was cheating on her with one of those back up dancers and Janet knew about it and didn't tell her and you no how they goes she felt like Janet was not being a true friend to her and that was the end of that long term friend ship smh just sad
I wish Roger Lee was in that line up. He danced on her tour and choreographed All 4 You and co-choreographed one of her tours. And also Marty Kuldelka wasn't there either. Very talented choreographers from Dallas.
They were a part of my life when I was a kid into adulthood. Kinda emotional 😢 lol. Still to this day. Janet always had the best dancers ever. And the best choreography in videos and tours
This is so historically amazing. I friggin love this.... Especially the part where she thanks everybody and says “to Tina, thank you for everything you’ve taught me”. That warms my heart! ONLY JANET, y’all!!
I love the way Janet is so down to earth and I love how she gives people credit for things they have been for her now that's the definition of a beautiful person
Janet really is a very kind person and high respect for her staff. When a person truly appreciate and respect people for how they help you and what they do for you this is how you show your appreciation. My prayer for Janet Jackson is that God sent her the husband that God has chosen for her. God Bless You Janet.
I’ve seen about every interview of her and she is VERY THANKFUL AND APPRECIATES her crew and doesn’t treat ppl like shit. Always saying how blessed she is. She gives so much credit to her team. That’s amazing! Too bad every artist doesn’t do that.
I got so emotional watching this! I've seen all of Janet's tours and you feel the love she has for her dancers. It was so great to see Tina Landon!!! She is so amazingly talented. And it was awesome to see Gil, too!!
Thank you for uploading this and capturing what we all love about Janet, her heart, passion, compassion, loyalty and so much more. Herstory was made last night! Yes, HERstory which is historic! Such a wonderful soul ❤️!
To every man that fumbled the ball with Janet Jackson....WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING! Sorry. Had to get that off my chest! This video is gold to her real fans! I cried my eyes out and smiled the biggest smile watching this! So much love. 💙
I am happy that she's bringing back her old danders. Is because when she was doing her videos and singing I only watched her dance with the background dancers I like couple of them.
