Aside from being super beautiful and talented, Janet is hands down one of my favorite people to listen to in interviews. Her voice is so soothing and she'll talk about pretty much anything in such a sweet, diplomatic way. This interviewer's gorgeous too and I'm loving her outfits :)
I had my first job at my local library and during that time, I had the opportunity to read this book. It was a great book and I enjoyed every second of it.
Janet thought she was ugly, Michael thought he was ugly. She only went so far to change her appearance, but this just goes to show how damaging a parent’s cruelty could be, AND how you never know what people are going through. The most beautiful, talented people who seem like they have “everything.” Everyone is going through something.
Ninja Turtles he did think he was ugly. His dad teased him about his nose constantly. He talks about his acne embarrassment when he started to hit puberty. I know he had vitiligo. And lupus, and a lung hemorrhage and a burned scalp. I feel deeply for Michael. I hope you know my comment wasn’t a dig at him; it was just information gathered from interviews he’d been in.
She has been beautiful her Whole life. I remember being little and watching her on good times and loved her acting and her beauty. Well self- perception is different than how others see you.
This is pretty interesting how she is talking about herself being unattractive. She is definitely not the only one. I was teased everyday about my looks. When you are 16 and still looking like you're ten in the chest area is humiliating. I guess it goes both ways, huh? It's only those who bring it to our attention at such a tender age, this is when we realize something is not right about our bodies. People are cruel even when they don't know they are cruel.
@musicbabylove1 Chasing around her other 8 kids probably. It's probably hard having that many kids to care for but I think even I (with all the things that escape my attention) would notice a 10 year old cooking a steak in the oven.
THESE DAYS EVERY WHERE YOU GO OR EVEN WORK, PEOPLE WORRY ABOUT HOW THEY LOOK. IIT'S ANNOYING BECUZ SOMME HATE ON YOU. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND EVEN AFTER HAVING SOME KIDS. PEOPLE SHOULD FEEL ASHAME BEING SO HATEFUL.
