Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut with Dharma Productions’ Dhadak in 2018, has three films releasing in 2024, the biggest of them being the Telugu film Devara, opposite Jr NTR. Ahead of what could be her biggest year in cinema yet, Janhvi spoke to THE WEEK about her upcoming work, the concept of the pan-Indian film and why critical acclaim can never match the feeling of a box office success.

The interviewer is quite out of place. She even forgot her own question and changed the question to entirely something else when Janhvi asked her to repeat the question. 😅 This interviewer is too vague to be interviewing someone with a lot of depth in their thoughts like Jhanvi.

Jahnvi Kapoor had always been an underrated actress. Sometimes even I feel like she's underacting but still she's a nice performer. Fell in love with her after watching Dhadak. No matter what people say, but I'm sure that she will be a box office sensation. Good luck Jahnvi Kapoor. Love you 😍❤

Her roles are tailor made for her comfort. Her performances are similar in every film and when she does a roohi, which is horror comedy, she sucks. The stories in her movie has to be good to make up for mediocre performances from her. I liked gunjan saxena for the story even though her performance was not that great.

Please read again. Alia and Janhvi are not the same starkid generation. Doing cosmetic surgery is a personal choice and has nothing to do with acting skills. It seems bollywood star kids don't have the ability to learn anything relating to their craft despite all the resources and advantage they have versus outsiders. Acting schools in India or America are universal in a sense if these schools teach actors process of getting into characters regardless of cultural and language barrier. If one looks at realistic cinema, hollywood films is no different from Iranian films which is no different from an Indian film. There is the obvious cultural differences but it's rooted and the actors are doing the same thing which is learn about characters background and personality to perform. I can relate to Viola Davis characters as much as Smita Patil's or Revathi from tamil and malayalam films.

What's funny about janvhi is that in order for her to be taken seriously as a good actor is that her movies should have good stories. Milli and gunjan saxena for example had good stories to make up for her perfromance that wasn't great. Other than that when she has to do the heavy lifting in the movie due to poor writing she is unable to perform.

Oh lord, this interview was so hard to sit through because of the journalist / interviewer. She really needs to learn how to do an interview. I feel sorry for janhvi for having to sit through that. Most of the time she was just talking and we had no idea what her question was!!!!! 🙄

Her father himself told the media that he called south director for the movie mili to be remaked to Bollywood..🤣🤣 and I think sara and ananya are getting more flowerpot roles and janhvi is somehow manages to get main role..like ruhi, gunjan ,best of luck Jerry and mili. So karan is trying hard to make her next alia bhatt but she herself proving it not again and again 🤣🤣🤣. All she does is a puppy face in every movies, but khushi came to act to prove that janhvi is not the worst actor(after Arjun) in their family 🤣that's her.

Jahnvi gets projects and is famous and relevant even after giving major flops! No one watches her movies. Not to mention 500 interviews.. jai ho PR of nepo kids .. keep snatching away opportunities from real talents. You deserve Bollywood and Bollywood deserves you.
