I ran into Ms.Ian on RU-vid today. Amazing!! In fact, I have heard your song "Jesse" from Japanese radio FM on around 1972-4 at first. As soon as after listened to it, I run to record shop to buy your album "STARS". Even now your songs take me back to 50 years ago, like a time machine. I am older than you 1 month. Please continue to share us your nice music and voice. Thank you very much for your nostalgic voice.❣
I have listened to this song so many times. I love it! As good as any song you have written Janis and so true. I love being the person I am now- it takes time to learn who you are and what matters in live. You are a super star. I have been a fan for many years and seen you many times. Please keep singing as long as you can. Love you!
My 91 years youngster bff, Mama Mary remembers our first concert together at Carowinds park in NC to see z Janis! I remember, too, but also scaling a WALL to see KC and the Sunshine Band later that summer - and then modeling the first tanning bed in N Carolina @ 14. 😴 Reelin in the years w Janis
love you love this song love all your songs --- your voice has just gotten better with time and your soul is beautiful and i am smiling listening to you ... what a gift you are thanks
It's like seeing life unfolding before your eyes, Janis Ian is such a talent and Diana Jones, taking a baton pass in the relay race. I love both of them for their wonderful music. Thank You.
thanks for posting, I can't get enough of this song and have stopped counting how many times I have now listened to it. 10 years ago I had a tumour on my spine with a prognosis of paraplegia. Thanks to a brilliant Neurosurgeon in Liverpool U.K I can still walk.
Went to hear this amazing woman last night and this was one of her recent songs that she performed that I thought were superb! Hope you like it! To wrinklies like me, it is very comforting! (I'm still looking for the other new stuff but may have to wait for a cd I guess...)
