Thx! Title: Humble Janitor Richard Goodall sings "Don't Stop Believin'" Perfectly | Auditions | AGT 2024
Saw this last Tuesday night, completely blew my mind. The guy has been a janitor for 23 years. Very humble, shy guy with a voice almost identical to Steve Perry.
That's awesome. My janitor was a legit Jamaican with a strong hold in his Rasta spirituality. When I was older,I ended up sharing a beer with him at a live music thing in our hometown. He remembered me as one of his "freaky bat girls" he had to keep a eye out for aka goth girls, because the late 1990s of It. We always fist bumped growing up. I still remember his locks and hat and beard to a T. He also never wore a janitors uniform but always looked so comfy and humble.
We need more random moments for average people with incredible voices to sing...like Potbelly sandwich shops putting a singer in a loft strumming a guitar.
His sympathy story will get him to the finals. His voice is good, but not even close to Steve Perry, anyone saying that needs to have their ears checked. Those that still think this guy wasn't already vetted and auditioned beforehand, are still being fooled by this show, it's heavily scripted and acts alresdy pre-chosen to get the buzzers and move on in the show.
I hear ya. Every time I’ll listen to “Don’t Stop Believin’”. I’ll be thinking of Richard, & on how “CRAZY GOOD” HE SANG THAT SONG. LIKE IT WAS HIS OWN.
Decent jobs in terre haute are hard to come by......i sub-teacher for 7 years ans never got a teaching job..its who you know....meth haute is a hell hole...little gary indiana.....i hope he makes it out...
I'm a custodian for an Elementary school and we have many hidden talents. I can drive a golf ball three hundred yards and outstanding player. That's just the tip of what I have done, so never judge a book by it's cover. Way to go Richard! If Journey would have not formed, you would have been a hidden journey. Just think about how many hidden talents there are in this world.
@Zlysess-gi9kb but all the matters in life is if you have had a happy life and to me he seems very happy with his life, yes he's finally had the courage to for fill his dreams
This is what the competition should be all about, people showing what they can do and not about professional acts getting a leg up, as what normally happens.
This one comment can bring me to tears😢. Thank yiu for your respect n caring to this nice gentle man. AMAZING, BRILLIANT VOICE. Give this man a contract now ❤❤❤. His life just changed. So happy he found the courage 😊. Blessings
@@helenlangvold3617there's absolutely nothing to cy about. 🙄 The guy's amazing voice needs celebrating not sobbing. You women and your discombobulated hormones.
That guy can sing that song perfectly. Always loved that song and I haven't heard it since I was a teenager. But I remember it so well. He sounds like the original singer. ❤😊
Hi Sweetie! I am so proud of you Your voice is dead on! Thank you! PS I I am a 3-11 Jolly Janitor Lady at My City Police Station and City Opera House. Just knowing you are a janitor made me cheer you on all the more!! Keep rocking! Laura from NH
PS ..Keep going! You are great! Can I buy a cd or Spotify down load of yours! My 3-11 mind would be inspired listening to you. Love my job. Your music would make my nights extra zippy. Goodnight.
When this came on during the episode, I had my mouth hanging open just like Simon did. It blew me away. THIS is what talent is, and if he doesn't win the entire competition, something is very wrong.
Dang....ya that sent me back.....I remember roller skating to this song a roller city wearing a rainbow shirt with the rainbow down one sleeve, before rainbows were attached to unicorns....
I love you MR RICARD!!! jeremi from terre haute, Indiana- Chauncey Rose forever!!! Miss those days - 47 years old brother!! Im making like you told me to!! Thank you for our chats bro!
Does Richard know just how many folks have tried to sound like Steve Perry, and failed? BUT Richard, YOU HAVE THAT GIFT!! Now its up to you to make another legend. PLEASE Do Not waste your gift.
It's lole nirvana and Alice in chains. Both people have to be born with it and will hurt to emulate. This guy is the same with this artist. Everyone else will kill their voice
I swear this feels like hearing it for the first time!! This man represents all of us who sat in our rooms and sang into a brush in front of the mirror in the 70’s and 80’s!
@@Dinalovestodance Hey, we all can't be Steve Perry...or this guy. But I got into music and made a wonderful living as a professional musician because of bands like Journey. I'm retired now but man I had a great ride, oh I can't sing (my brush broke) so I studied guitar for years just so I could be like our heroes. Steve is definitely one.
@@Chief_Brody yes! I was 17 when I first heard Don’t stop Believing.. I’m 59 now… every song you hear takes you back to a time in your life, where for me, great memories reside. What’s your favourite band?!
As a young black man in Los Angeles, I used to jam the hell outta this song back in the 80's...love this song! Amazing how much he sounds just like Steve Perry.
What’s wonderful is that folks like him get to share their divine gifts with us. It makes you wonder what they went through to wait so long before their opportunity.
