This track is literally perfect. The beginning section is a lyrical gut punch with lines like “Mother always said God loves me / but I couldn’t see how he could even stand me”, and then it breaks down into this beautiful math rock section before climaxing at the end with a cacophonous medley of vocals, guitar, drum, and bass. You can feel the energy radiating from Sam here. They know this is a good fucking track and it shows through their passion. This is, in my opinion, the best Jank track by far. It’s inspired work and it almost defies comprehension how three dudes from the DIY scene invented it. It’s such a shame what went down with Lou and Jank. They are easily the most interesting emo band in the past decade. They exploded in a beautiful ray of light that just as quickly dissipated. Thanks for uploading this
i couldnt have said it better myself. i feel like they couldve gotten big, im talking like queen big in the math rock and punk communities. but, lou did what he did. such a shame.

the best part of listening to jank is when you listen multiple times, you can hear how well played each instrument and how much they all interact with each other so amazingly
I wish Jank could come back. Please guys, find a way to make it happen. This band is special in a way that no other band is. You were this generations Nirvana in the making, I can see this style of alternative music being huge in the future but nobody will ever make it quite like you guys did. Such a damn shame :(
its always the talented muscians that make poor choices, Lou was one of them, along with people like Sam Carter, Jonny Craig, Tillian Pearson and more.
I fucking love this song, and this performance! You can see how much they enjoy playing together. If you've ever played music with other people you recognize the shivers of pure, existential joy you get when you nail the music and everything is flowing together.
i feel like music doesnt get any better than this (my personal opinion). like when i dream of the perfect band i picture this music and to actually hear it in real life is unreal

I would have loved to play a show with this outfit of your music.. but my main reason for replying is your guitar style.. it reminds me of my brother, who was also in You and I.. then went on to Hot Cross and some other things.. his name is Casey.. if you haven't heard of Hot Cross, look it up. anyway, great stuff .. love your covers of Elliott smith and sunny day..

it sucks that Lou ended up being so shitty, JANK is and will forever be one of my hugest influences, loves, and sources of comfort. something about the emotions they convey just sucker punches you right in the face, and makes you feel like you're flying. even w/ the nostalgic tones aside, it's hard not to wish things could've always stayed this good.
