on mine i did everything i was supposed to and when i try to sew then it just makes holes but the thread doesn't go through!

I understand and did everything apart from the bobbin bit right at the end? I can’t tell where it’s supposed to go

For people having trouble with the bobbin loop picking up, I've got the same problem with mine and I can't fix it. Underneath that plate is a spinning bobbin holder, which spins in sync with the needle (2 turns of the plate for 1 dip of the needle). When the needle dips down, there's a hook on the spinning bobbin holder that should hook the thread and drag the thread from the needle around, causing the bobbin thread to get picked up. However, for some reason the spike is missing the needle thread, so it never gets dragged around and loops around the bobbin thread. I have no idea how to fix this, but it *might* be that the bobbin holder isn't quite in sync with the needle any more. I haven't found a way to change (it resists manual force and I think that if I push to hard something inside will snap and then it'll never work). I've posted this comment in case it helps someone else work out how to fix the issue.

Hi I’ve threaded and bobbed correctly but my thread is still breaking every single time it’s like it knotting up under the needle behind the bobbin I have followed ur vid every step and it’s still doing it

Mine keep tearing the thread, however when I turn the thread tension knob to 1 and put it back to 4 it works for a while and then tears up. Some how it gets stiff while passing through the thread tension knob because after it tears it up, if I try to pull the thread just before where the needle is, it's very stiff. I wondered maybe it's the thread, do they come in deferent thickness sizes? if yes which size is the best for this mini Janome?

My needle is not making a loop and pulling the bobbin thread through the hole in the middle.... can anyone help me figure out what is wrong?

I was doing everything wrong. Thread spool going in wrong direction; threaded around the disc top left and didn't put the bobbin thread into the notch. Watched this and got it working first time. Machine had been in cupboard for 2 years and was ready to be consigned to the charity shop. I'd recently bought one of those cheap machines from China which was already threaded and works like a dream. Now I have two working machines; which is very handy when needing to use different coloured threads on a project. Thank you so much for a very clear explanation without any of the waffle that others do. Simple instructions help greatly.

I've had this for years. I sodnmt use it much but I managed to make a quilt from it. After a few years of not using it and trying to get that bobbin thread to loop, it won't do it what so ever! Frustrating!!!

Try leaving the bobbin door off and bring the bobbin thread to the back. :)

So once the hole is. Made when you pulled the threads did the hole disappear? Or did the threads made a knot?

Answer for silkyorganza- This little machine is GREAT for fabric! I was going to purchase a more expensive machine, but when the saleslady saw me carrying it around, she directed me to the less expensive Sew Mini Janome instead. She said she had been assigned to demonstrate it at a sewing expo, had been worried at first about it not being a very good machine, and then discovered how amazing it really was. So I bought this one to use when we travel in our RV.

I’ve had this for about 6 months and have not been able to use it until today. I just want to thank you so much. I’m new at it all. Sewing, bobbin, what each thing is. I thought I’d give up but I bumped in to this video and you are just my hero. My sewing machine is not in the thrash. I’m saving your video for the future in case I forget. As for now I’m just practicing sewing and hopefully making a straight line eventually. 😊👍🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

i can't make the loop to get the bobbin thread out?!?! PLEASE HELP! SOMEONE! but i sow without making the loop at the end to get the bobbin thread out, and it works just fine. it works normally. when i sow the bobbin thread automatically comes out. please help. maybe i am doing something wrong.

My machine is basically this with a different name. I am having trouble getting the bobbin up but what a great video this is. Really appreciate how you have taken so much time over every detail. So this worked for a day and I can't get it to work. It hardly ever picks up the bobbin and breaks the thread when I sew backwards. Is this machine just a nightmare all round ?

Thank you so, so much! I, like several others here; bought one of these little beauty's without a user's manual/ instruction guide. Your video however, gave me the confidence to finally thread & use my machine [for the first time!]. For me- the very thought of 'threading it' incorrectly- was enough to prevent me from giving it a go (I thought it'd break or something- if I accidentally threaded it wrong].The verdict;- I love it! it's AN AMAZING LITTLE SEWING MACHINE- THAT TRULY HAS POTENTIAL!
