Part II of the January 2020 New Items Video shows you the beautiful new BR50 Steam Locomotive.
Using the G-Scale PIKO #37241 DR (Deutsche Reichsbahn) IV BR50 Steam Locomotive with Sound allows us to show off the incredible detail, as well as the impressive sounds the loco has to offer.
The video begins with the introduction to the loco and shows numerous close-up images so you can see all of the detail for yourself. Jonathan moves on to display some of the great other features, like some of the sounds that you can hear from the installed speaker and PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1. Tons of real-life steam recordings were made by PIKO sound engineers to provide plenty of fun.
Near the end of the video, Jonathan also gives you the first glimpse of the "disappearing coal load" feature that surprised folks around the world. This feature actually has the coal load in the tender get smaller as the loco is run and your model "uses up its fuel". (The feature can be disabled if you wish.) Using a digital remote and pressing function 7 lets you watch as the tender is "refilled" with coal right before your eyes. Plenty of real-to-life coal shoveling sounds are also heard during this process. This is an amazing brand new feature brought to you only by PIKO.
