I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE A CAMERA AT EVERY JUMP JUST TO FILM THOSE WHO FALL IN ITS ENTIRETY.. ESPECIALLY TO FILM THE HORSES WHO FALL. ID LIKE TO SEE SOME OF THOSE WHO FALL AND DONT GET UP TO SEE WHY THEY HAVENT GOTTEN UP AND WHAT TYPE OF INJURY THEY HAVE.
They already do this…There is normally at least 3-4 camera angles on each race to help the stewards, but when it’s shown on tv you only see the one angle (unless they switch it). The BHA already records and investigates falls etc and has a database that scientists and veterinary professionals can use. Not to mention that plenty of research is carried out using video replays to analyse potential risk factors that can lead to falls and other injuries (not just in racing but sports like eventing too).
