OMG!! Love everything in the box. Mine is due to arrive tomorrow I can't wait. Lori Holt is one of my favorite designers and so glad to get more of her fabric and notions. My favorite is the binding tool. Thank you for sharing, first time visit to your channel. Gave you a thumbs up and I will subscribe your channel.
I just got my box today. I would have to agree with everything 100%. The binding holder is also my favorite thing in the box however I really do like the hat quilt. I happen to have a cream background fabric that would go great I think 😊
The binding tool is by far the best notion ever!! Thanks for sharing. I'm about to start the Millie's dress quilt so this hat quilt will be a nice compliment!!❤
I love anything Lori Holt! All of it is so great! I love the binding holder to put together with my projects in my carrier box. The material is always awesome, thank you Kimberly Jolly and Lori Holt. ❤❤😊
I'm not a fan of the pressed flowers QAL so I didn't bother with it but I'm excited to see what comes in April! My favorite Sew Sampler QAL was from 2019 and I do have the kit for that one, Goodness Grows. FQS no longer has the kit, but they do have the PDF bundle of patterns: shrsl.com/4dvxx. Sherri and Chelsi have Strawberry Lemonade coming out this month and I could definitely see those fabrics working for the Goodness Grows quilt.
Great box!! I was hoping this would be Mercantile from the sneak peek. The binding tool is definitely my favorite & I can always use more rulers so that’s awesome too.
You have until the 14th of February to sign up for March’s box. I have the link in the description box. If you did want this Lori Holt January box, you can join Sew Sampler Swap on Facebook and I’m sure someone will be selling their box.
I believe this one: www.wawak.com/sewing/needles/home-machine/organ-microtex-home-machine-needles-hax130-hax130spi-10pack/#sku=mns1308. I don’t use microtex needles so I can’t speak to how they perform.
I don’t subscribe to the boxes. I looked up the binding tool and was surprised by its high price. The info doesn’t say what width of binding it will hold. I usually make my binding a little wider than the standard width, and I roll my binding around a cardboard tube. I learned to appreciate Microtex needles when I was using batiks to make masks. Because the batik has such a tight weave, the sharps worked better than the quilting needles I normally use.
Yes! I forgot that I do use sharps when I have batik quilts on the longarm. The binding tool is pretty big. Even if you do a slightly larger binding, it will probably fit.
