If it was me I'd go with maybe a 4ft long disc cleaner at the end of the conveyor rather than a grizzly. With a grizzly you're going to lose at least a foot of height whereas with a disc cleaner you can incline them and actually gain height. Rabaud have some good videos of their cleaners. Nothing much I'd change from this video format. A bit of commentary, some music with the timelapse and wood being processed. It's got everything.

Btw,there's another finnish firewood processor make,which has very effective drum cleaner for firewood,one could probably make a DIY version if those are not imported to US.

Great video. I am looking at purchasing this model. I’ve been told it has only 7 tons of splitting force which is a concern of mine. Does the machine struggle to split 16-18” long wood that is 12-14” diameter? Thanks

With straight grain no knots, I can’t see the 8 way wedge working. The 6 way wedge works with that size wood but it has to be straight grain no knots. The 4 way wedge will demolish that size wood with and without knots

The 7 Tons of splitting force seems like not a lot when it comes to splitting force. But it is surprisingly super powerful. In my opinion I think it uses a combination of a little bit of kinetic energy when it first hits the wood to get it to split open. Then uses the hydraulics the rest of the way to split it. The piston moves faster than you thing when it splits

It also seriously depends on the species of wood that you’re splitting. You’ll have a hard time splitting that size wood with a 6 way if you’re splitting Oaks and hickory, and cherry. But if you’re splitting Birch, Ash, and tulip, Some of the “softer” of the hardwoods. You shouldn’t have a problem

I will make a video this weekend running stuff through it to show what it can do

Dass man fürs Brennholz nicht gerade Furnierware nimmt ist klar. Aber das Zeug ist ist ja teilweise schon reif für den Kompost...

Hello from Chicago! I have no idea where you are located, my first video but I'm liking it! If you don't mind, how much do you charge for a face cord or cord of wood?
@williswoodproducts

Around my area it’s $220 a cord. I’m located in CT

@patrickdunne1150
@patrickdunne1150 3 года назад
@@mithall4198 $350 at the very least. But I live in the city and there really is no one that would order a full cord. $150 for a 1/3 cord of seasoned wood. And that would be a deal.
