I really appreciate that you showed the middle seat. The other flight reviews I've watched always stick in their own window or aisle seat. I'm going to be in the middle seat on my flight home and it was nice to get a little preview of what it will be like.
I didn’t know they have a terminal to order food, granted the only fancy international flights I’ve done are Singapore Airline 1st class, Delta One and Korean Air business class
I really liked this vid, the best part is Sebby in the background being random. Any chance of a breakdown on how you used points to book this trip? I'm planning on using points to fly my wife and kids to Japan in the next year or so and want to go business class.
For flights departing from the US to Japan, it's always a struggle for Japanese airlines to match the quality expected by Japanese passengers. Japanese expats and visitors tend to lower expectations because the food is made in the US. Even US airlines have better food for flights returning from Japan because they use Japanese catering services.
Interesting review! I agree with you about storage for the seat. I think I would feel claustrophobic in the window seat with no window along the center of the wall. How does JAL compare to the Delta One service you took last year to Japan, I think. Looking forward to skiing and hotel tour video. Have fun!

Unfortunately it's not the same as the original. It's similar to the Amex Platinum (18g)now, so in between the weights of the original RC card(20g+) and the outgoing one (13g).

It’ll be my first time on business class so it looks like overall it will be great experience. Do you normally skip alcoholic beverages? I’m allergic so it’s non alcoholic the entire way.
Haha, black shirts are his uniform. One less decision. Non-alcoholic this time since we were landing in Tokyo in the afternoon, and had some meetings setup. Can't be running around or on video with an Asian glow!
I wasn't aware that online menus were available? considering the relatively small numbers in business class I think its just as easy to ask one of the stewards as they are always walking around? well thats on Singapore Airlines anyway.
Do you know if the bulkhead seats in business have the same set up as any business class seat ie specifically the viewing screen also part of the cubicle and not on the bulkhead wall? Would you recommend the bulkhead in business on this plane ?
Also, how did you like Business Class relative to First Class for JAL Boeing 777? Worth waiting for a first class seat and spending the extra points in your opinion?
I hope you’re taking JAL just for a review, ANA has a lot better business product, from LAX or SFO, 121 configuration, I fly to Vietnam, as well as Thailand, three or four times a year, sorry, but I couldn’t do it on JAL 🤷🏼🤷🏼🤷🏼
That’s too bad. I got it for $5k from SFO. Booked a separate flight using miles to get to SFO from PHX since airline wanted to charge $2k more just to go from PHX to SFO to HND on one ticket rather than two.
