Happy Saturday my friends 🤗 I have got myself a few new toys from last Black Friday sales 😅 They were on my list for a long time and finally I got them 🎶 I have the links in the description box if your are curious to know more about them 😘
I've never heard of Iwachu before but I looked on the website and they have such lovely tea pots! One is definitely going on my list of things for my new apartment ☺️ thank you for the recommendations Miss Linna!
Today's unique produce was so fun to see! The Japanese yam was huge, the purple cauliflower almost didn't look real, and I never realized that's what pink daikons look like 😆 trying fun local produce is one of my favorite things about the growing season here- cant wait for farmers markets again!
I worked as a professional cook for 20 years and hated cooking at home since I was around food all day and had limited creativity. However, I recently quit and have reclaimed my love of cooking for my fiancé and friends. watching channels like yours give me a lot of inspiration and motivation of how I want to live in my home and care for my family. I’ve been trying lots of new recipes and techniques and having so much fun with it. I bought an omelette pan recently (nowhere as fancy as yours! 😅) and getting the hang of making tamogoyaki has been quite fun. Thanks for always bringing a moment of peace and joy to my life!
I feel sorry for you but also very happy that you are picking up the joy of cooking again! I can understand the difference I suppose… cooking as a duty or cooking as a care provider is somehow such a big difference! For me, cooking for my family is an important thing in life. I am really glad you found your love for cooking for your family again 💛💛💛
I love caste iron. I have a whole collection. In the southern USA, it is a must to cook cornbread and biscuits in a caste iron skillet. My sister has my grandmother's iron and it will pass to her daughter. If properly cared for caste iron will last many life times. Much love from Dixie. 💕
Thank you for your comforting and inspiring videos. I work at a high stress dangerous job so when I can get a moment to watch your videos - it's a good treat. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas 🎄⛄
Your Staub cocotte will survive you , it will survive your children and probably your grand children too .I have a 50 year-old one ( from my mother) and it is an essential in my kitchen . It makes superb dishes.
The tofu looks tasty! If your husband finishes the food you prepare for him he definitely likes it! It's easy to eat just until you're full if you don't like the food, but very hard to stop until everything is gone if it's tasty
Hi Linna, I'm sooo happy finding your chanel. You teach me only order the essentials (and of course useful for a long time) hahaha! I love the supermarket tour which show me what food I must try when I visit Japan. Keep on going!!
Love your purchases. I love my cast iron pot. I would be lost without it and actually cook a lot of our meals in it, except during the summer. Enjoy you new toys!
The dishes you make always make my tummy rumble....very hungry after watching you cook...😂. Thank you for another wonderful and inspiring video. Hugs from Canada 🇨🇦
Since watching your videos I have gone out and bought a few sets of chop sticks and have just wanted to eat Japanese foods lol... I wanna see Japan one day 😍😍 I'm a big fan here in the UK xo merry Christmas to you and your family xo
I really really love your videos! It’s simple yet very appealing. Thank you Linna for sharing your life with us. Love the new kitchen tools especially the kettle. So pretty. Keep the videos coming. Glad to see you’re nearing 100k subs! You’ll definitely have your silver play button this year! ❤ Soo happy for you. 😊
looks like Christmas has arrived early for you Linna 😁 those items really look like quality and with your care, it will serve you and your family well for a long long time 😊 that purple cauliflower is so eye catching by the way 🤩 always love the dishes you make for dinners! looks so yummy and absolutely healthy too. all those veggies, delish 😍😋
This is probably an odd question but I am curious if sesame oil in Asian countries tastes as strong as it does in the US. I love making and eating all types of Asian cuisine but when I watch it being made in its country of origin they use a lot of the oil. When I make it with ingredients I can buy locally, I have to use much less sesame oil or it over powers the other flavors. Maybe it’s just that our palettes aren’t as accustomed to the strong flavor? I do love sesame oil but I typically use much much less than what I see used in videos. 🤷♀️ I have been trying some of your recipes lately and have really enjoyed them. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I’m always captivated to watch normal life in your country
Hi, Linna🌹 thanks for another lovely video 🤗 the good meal keeps the hurt warm and the soul in peace 😊. Big hugs from Bulgaria 🤗 kiss the boys from me😸
I never seasoned any meat before storing, only when preparing, but sometimes I put a bit sake over beef or pork before storing to make it extra tender. Even when freezing it works really wel, just let it rest for an hour in the refrigerator before freezing. Hahaha I do exactly the same, rinsing out the bottles with some water and adding it. I love mabo nasu the most :) a little bit left over can also be added to yaku udon as meat and sauce or as topping on mayo and egg yaki udon. I always seem to have just a little bit of leftovers, not enough for a whole meal so I try to be creative with using it up and not trowing it away. Love your new kitchen gadgets! In the Netherlands such heavy pans , though not the expensive brands, can be found in almost any kitchem since traditional cooking often uses such pans. We call them simple braadpan (litterally translated broiling pan). I have some, even from my grandmother who passed away 14 years ago thats how sturdy they are and she used them a lot, but I hardly use them😅It would be great to make kare raisu or gyusuji in it. I would love such an iron kettle and have debated buying one in Japan many times but they are so heavy to ship or take in your luggage.
I only season pork and chicken with salt when storing. I don’t do with beef, it’s will make it too dry. I love the tradition of you using those heavy pan and they are being past down by generations 💛 so beautifully custom 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Linna 😊 Your new items are wonderful. I love cooking in my Staub. Your recipes always look very delicious. I hope you and your family have a great weekend 😊♥️
Lovely video again Linna. I adore your purchases, they are amazing! 🌹Look beautiful also 😍 The mapo I am going to try with vegetarian mince, it looked amazing 👏 If you don't post next week, its xmas week and we know you will be busy! I hope you and your family have an amazing Christmas🎅🎄🎁 and New year 🥂🍾. I wish you health, wealth and happiness for 2023 and many adventures too!! ✨️ 🎁❤️🎄❤️🍾❤️🎉❤️
Thank you so much for your wishes 💛 I wish you the same! 🥰 when my life getting a little upside down, I tend to reply the comments late😅🙏 But I will keep the upload coming hopefully 😀 I am getting busy because the kids school holiday starts 😂
Hubby bought me the Bruno x crassy toaster, grill and convection as I have been eying it for a while and then he surprised me with a bodum gooseneck kettle as the price was good. He gave me them before we left. But I do like a nice cast iron tea pot mine is 15 years old but I can’t remember we’re I got them from? Nothing like a happy husband
I love cast iron cook wear I have a frying pan that was my grandmother's it's well over 100 years old and in beautiful condition ♥️ enjoy your new kitchen babies 😁 I was also happy to see I'm not the only one who adds water to bottles and cans to get every last drop out ..wonderful video my friend 💖
Congratulations on your new Babies. I love how excited you were with purple cauliflower. It’s just cauliflower. But oh so pretty. You will have those pots to pass on in years to come to a whole new generation! Merry Christmas from the states to you!🎅🎄👍💚🥰🧑🎄
They are large in the US too! Usually the grocery stores get the skinny ones, but restaurants/food service will get the fat ones! The big ones are usually packaged into the 25 lb bags
Hello , hope you are fine. "Pot au feu" is usualy make with beef meat and not chicken otherwise you can call it " Poule au pot" and it is done with a hen 's meat, but chicken is ok. No sausages or broncoli in the traditional french receipe. Also the pot au feu is done with juice cooking of the meat and vegetables and eat all together. But your version is really looking good :) it is another and personal version of pot of feu . Take care and have a lovely week 🌺🌼
Love your new toys! They will last as long as they're taken care of. Someday you will have daughter-in-laws you can teach a few things to. But let the boys be boys for as long as they can. My cast iron was pre-seasoned at the factory. Enjoy watching. Continue with happy holidays and be safe.
