In this recipe, I have tried to replicate the traditional begun basanti recipe. In this recipe, I have used desiccated coconut, as I could not find fresh coconut here in Japan. This is a veg recipe, and it goes well with steamed rice. Addition of coconut milk gives a very creamy taste. I have used canned coconut milk, but fresh coconut milk is the best.
