This is the best, the most immaculate version of "Desperado" from Nathan Chen. I've read somewhere that the two small steps at 1:47 have touched an older Hispanic man's heart. Nathan's simple black and white outfit only emphasizes the crispness of his movements, all the small details in his hands, arm positions, the little two steps here and there, little hops, the flow and stops that make up the character and flavor of the music. Everything looks effortless, even his hair, masculine with grace and confidence. What an exceptional athlete and a genuine artist on the ice!
His performance of this SP at Skate America 2020 was fantastic. It's easily one of my favorite SPs of his, up there with Nemesis and La Boheme. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lQDUiUoqpz4.html
Standing ovation for Nathan Chan's SP! I love quads and triple loops, the best part is the footwork is excellent with Beauitful lines. I am very proud of Nathan.
I came here since I was looking desperately to watch this program in other competition, exhibition or gala or whatever but to watch more of this program! It would be nice that he were allowed to perform this at the SOI shows because it's very thrilling and brings the house down! Bravo Nathaaaaan! You are the best! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Nathan is power, explosive, raw, attack, edgy, exciting, thrilling while Hanyu is soft, elegant, sophisticated, regal, seductive. Both skaters are a joy to watch!
ur description of nathan just fitted yuzuru to the letter while performing romeo n juliette in worlds 2012. I LOVED him so much like that, alas thats a;ready in the past
I actually would give elegant, sophisticated, and seductive to Nathan (plus cool, tasteful, and versatile), cut out the regal altogether, and have Yuzuru at soft, joyful, and dramatic (sometimes in a good way and sometimes not -- which is the same for Evgeniya and probably an unfortunate byproduct of Brian Orser whom I've always found impossibly cheesy).
@@pedropelaez...he has dominated an entire quad, beaten a certain skater each time, and won his Olympic gold. It's time to start talking about him as one of the greatest of all time now.
Yuzulu has no style actually, he is good at using gloved hand movements to match the peak of music, and Shoma Uno has only one body movement at the peak of musical score. I am not so sure that they can be called as “ artistry “..
@@nilinahir4517 Podría elegir música más emocionante. No es que sea fea la música; pero hay música de guitarra mucho mejores que ésta. Siempre elige temas muy aburridos
@@Nalberto3511 It’s your preference, however, this piece of music is loved by many, many of Nathan’s fans, it is indeed a very good choice and enjoyable for ever.
Well, must admit: in terms of jumping technique he's probably one of the best. BUT when it comes to skating skills, presentation and all the rest - he's far behind Yuzu and Shoma.
If Nathan is only "probably one of the best in terms of jumping" and not "the best in terms of jumping", and his "skating skills, presentation and all the rest" are "far behind Yuzu and Shoma" surely Yuzu and Shoma will defeat Nathan in the near future ... They will win with lots of points ! 😉
@Phi-Dung Nguyen You're right. Nathan made history and no way can be mentioned in a context of 2014 Olympic circus (poor Yuna...). But I think there's still huge opportunity for him to improve.
