I visited this capsule hotel back in 2018 and not much has changed. It was very comfortable and the atmosphere was safe and friendly. I will always recommend this capsule hotel for any female traveling to Akiba! It is very central too, conbini and restaurants are not far from the hotel
I wish we had these kind of capsule hotels in Canada. I'd feel so much safer staying in one should I ever need to (especially when going to a concert or out with friends downtown when travelling at night is so iffy).
Hotels really need to get washing machines that work with your room key. Imagine not having to worry about needing coins because your trip took longer! You could load money at the front desk or at a touchscreen thing or even have the laundry fee automatically added to your room fee at checkout!
I’d love a concept like this in America. But if we tried it here it would get attacked by men whose egos were hurt because there’s a place that isn’t for them 🙄
Not from the USA, but yeah there is going to be men that cannot handle this (jealous, dominant or entitled). Also the type of men you would not want to have around in a pod hotel without close-able doors. And @Hutchdh don't get stressed since the problem is not every men, but the men that do cause these issues are a PROBLEM for women. Stop feeling attacked please.
can you spend consecutive nights here instead of just a day? edit: you can for some capsule hotels but not all. this one does just hand your key in at the desk around 10am and pick it up later near 4pm
Why can't they have something like this in the USA? My neice or nephew is going to be born in a couple months and I need to have just a small over night stop to get to their house.
Hotel looks kawaii. Speaking of Kawaii, I noticed that Akiba, from another channel like Japan Explorer, Akiba is also known for “maid cafes” where kawaii Japanese girls wear cute outfits.
