with a ship that has gone through so many war's and receiving the highest recommendations, you would think that our state would have done everything it could to make her a floating museum for the rest of the world to see and touch... It's truly sad that the enterprise was scrapped in the end, and I honestly feel that she deserved better, but just like everything in life, it ended the way that it ended for her...
@russcowper9513
@russcowper9513 4 года назад
I heartily agree. CVN 80 The new USS enterprise will be an awesome machine. I Annesely hope they take the USS enterprise that was just decommission, the first nuclear aircraft carrier America ever built, refuel her, and give her to someone that can fight her. She would be such a wonderful ship for one of our allies. Could you imagine if we refuel the USS enterprise and provided her to Taiwan with 80 FA 18 super hornet‘s? China in her to old junk ski ramp Russian copied aircraft carriers with tremble at the site of the USS enterprise renamed as a Taiwan flag ship. I think that would be so much better than giving her to the scrapyard.
@bluemerc12
@bluemerc12 4 года назад
Gotta remember the ship and aircraft are only as good as the sailors than man her. If the Taiwanese are up to the training, which as our allies I believe they are, they will be formidable to say the least.
@timg2088
@timg2088 3 года назад
I agree, but I don't believe Taiwan has a nuclear program. Lots of infrastructure and training goes into it. Plus the cost would be astronomical to get it back to combat ready status. When I was stationed in Jacksonville, Fl, they wouldn't allow nuclear powered carriers to be stationed there. The Naval base itself didn't meet the U.S. Navy's criteria to house one.

@@Shadowdoc26 @Nate P The soldiers who fought and died in WWII gave you the right to say inaccurate things like that. WWII is the most studied and talked about historical event in schools, in fact, people often take interest because of what they learn in schools. If you think the sacrifices of WWII are being forgotten, then perhaps you should try to fix that in your community.
