Thanks for watching episode 2 from Osaka! This city just blows us away every time! Follow along here : instagram.com/chopsticktravel & facebook.com/chopsticktravel
THE SAUCE WHICH CAME WITH THE TEMPURA IS ***NOT PONZU***. IT IS TENTSUYU WHICH IS DASHI IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. ALSO, I LIVE CLOSE TO HARUKOMA AND IT IS THE MOST POPULAR SUSHI SPOT IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD👍✨
i know im randomly asking but does anyone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
You're absolutely right and we wholeheartedly agree that no Osaka trip is complete without a visit to Kuromon Market. One of our favourite markets in Japan. Happy New Year to you both 🎉 and all the very best for 2020!
Thanks for sharing. I’m a local of Osaka, but don’t visit many places you’d introduced. That’s just because we think we can visit anytime... and never visited. It was interesting to see Osaka through foreign visitors’ eyes.
Japanese food looks amazing I can't to visit in June. Brilliant work and thanks for making me hungry again. It a been a while I drop a comments sorry being busy working.
@Luke Martin Don't get me wrong. Entire video was very great. Enjoyed watching the amazing food especially the sushi. Since Simply Dumpling doesn't cover raw sushi. Wish me luck on making dreams a reality. I will work hard.
Takoyaki are surprisingly easy to make - initially you think 'oh no, this is not going to come together' but then when you roll the balls around it works. Amazon even sells those pans. I tend to do mine with shrimp pieces inside as I usually have shrimp already in the freezer, but yes octopus is the most traditional. A fun dinner party appetizer with toothpicks in each one. I do add bonito flakes, seaweed flakes and Japanese mayo on top. And perhaps some hoisin. It is tricky in that you don't want to over cook them and you don't want to scald your guest's mouths. You have to do a taste test first - they should be meltingly tender inside, and golden on the outside with the dancing bonito. Think of them as savoury pancake ball treats before supper.
Oh man you make super super videos and you also show super super food and super super cultures and super super travel. I live it. It's super super great.
That was great. Liked the Ferris wheel, even though I don't like heights, the tomago yaki, probably didn't spell that correctly, and the fish shaped cake with bean paste inside.
I like a great knife...cracker barrel resturant sells those cast iron pans like that to use for little round cornbreads.im sure they'd work.look the same.
Japan is my favourite country for food cos I Love Otoro, Chutoro, Uni & Japanese Wagyu really like Endo sushi in Osaka recommended by u guys..notice some people that look like local fishermen entering the shop thro the backdoor without queuing up which was nice to see ....heading back to Japan end of the month.
When I miss Japan, it is often a food memory that triggers the feeling. I love and miss Japanese cuisine. Sharing a meal makes people like each other or as the feel closer with strong bond. Eating the same food leads to trust and cooperation because they feel closer with the feeling of intimacy among those eating together, share the experience with eating and drinking. Get away Corona Virus, I miss friends and family…
Happy New Year Mr. Martin to you and your lovely wife Sabrina. Are your fans going to see any Little Fockers being born in 2020? Lol. You & your wife would make great parents :)
Wow! That ferris wheel made me a little queasy just watching it! Was it open on the side after you spun around, or was there an enclosure? Again, living vicariously!❤❤❤
Love your videos! Just wondering why they use so much oil when frying? The food seems burnt is it? The different food can make you hunger and want to go where you are!
Wow, I amazed that you introduced Harukoma sushi. winner of sushi restaurant in uehonmachi that so many sushi restaurant around there. I understood you resarch it a lot therefore you forget to order clam simo soup which most local people order it at harukoma sushi.
Nice food vlog, man. You are awesome! And just out of curiosity, compare to Endo Sushi, which one do you think you like more? This one in the video or Endo?
Had travel plans to Japan for May this year, damn situation made me move the fly like 5 times already. The momment they lift the travel bans i'll be in Japan again. In the meantime i have to enjoy/suffer watching this videos u.u
Nice video, as always Luke and Sabrina. But I always wonder about dark oil like that first batch with the fritters in it. Looks like it's in bad need of changing out. How can anything cooked in dark sludge be appetizing. I can actually taste rancid, old oil on food no matter how fresh the ingredients are. Not for me.
i live in Nagasaki toshima ku tokyo-to i enjoi the watching booth of you.couple pleasant & easy to understand you speak wellmi also speak english thats y? i enjoi watching watching pls. send me more of your videos so that lm informed about some places here in japan.which i never been through osaka-is far from tokyo. arigatou gozaimasu/thank you very much. keioskitte kaitte ne./take care in your travel.💋✌😷
It's not that I dislike sushi intensely but it wouldn't be my first choice inJapanese dining. I would definitely head for the meat brochettes instead, which are absolutely delicious.! The Japanes seem definitely fixated on eating raw fish and there's nothing wrong with that but, again, not my first choice.
Hey man, im flying to Osaka for the first time on Sunday for a week whilst working out there. ill be staying at the Ritz-Carlton near the main station. Do you know what this area is like for street food?
