The canary is also great for kids. Cutting cardboard is a common kid task, and tricky to do safely with any other knife.

The Canary box cutter is great. I have the long one (yellow), non-retractable. Great for opening boxes, but also making them smaller, although a sharp cutter works as well.

Regarding that Shinwa tool, I think it's main use case would be measuring gaps in a construction setting. For instance if a builder measuring gaps in concrete or if a cabinet maker measuring gaps between cabinets and a wall or floor for scribing filler panels or levelling plinths.

0:40 is "cap" screw the proper name for that style? I also have referred to them as cap screws, but I'm thinking that cap is short for "captive" and is a term for screws that are recessed at the top end of of the shaft which are used to keep the screw held in place on a panel once removed. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe an odd request to throw your way, but I've recently gotten in to (vintage, 70s-90s) bicycles, and was curious if you'd consider trying to find and look at tools for servicing bicycles? TBF I'm not at all sure what's out there, and I'm not even sure there's much in the way of unique tools that isn't already easily attainable from the likes of Park Tools or Pedro's in the US. Just curious if you happen to know if any of these Japanese brands happen to make anything unique. But the rock pick and brake seal service tool got me thinking of weird little niche applications. (As for the rock pick, lol, I think I'll stick to a pocket screwdriver or prybar. Highly doubt the scoop shown here would be helpful for car tires with their narrow sipes and grooves.)

Vessel and Engineer both have versions that work on Philips/cross point. Bzeug has a video on the Vessel one and I know he has the Engineer but did not see it in use.
