Located in the southwestern part of Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost region, the island is generally little known as a tourist destination. That is why there are hardly any people there even during the summer season.
The island is covered with vast virgin forests, and genuine nature remains.
Breathtakingly beautiful sights of both sea and mountains are everywhere.
It is also an island of delicious seafood and wine.
The purpose of our trip was to fish for yellowtail in the Sea of Japan that surrounds this beautiful island.
