Honestly the little couple from the ryokan was so heartwarming. I just moved back to the states last month after 4 years in Japan, and it made me miss the little encounters I had with Japanese people, mainly the older folks on occasion, who despite my not knowing much Japanese were kind and welcoming. 💕🙏

@wifeywubs
@wifeywubs 9 месяцев назад
@misatoryusaki5744 we were there on military orders, so it was our time to move on. :) There's lots of things I wish we could adopt into our society like having a massive public transit system that works without people abusing it, or the idea of not inconviencing others. And oh my God the combini food 🤤🤤🤤 but ultimately I don't think I'd want to live in Japan again. It's a beautiful country but I felt very isolated there.

I thought you would get the house that you did, I'm glad you did. A shop house sounds like a better idea than it is. Obviously you know this, but most viewers wouldn't have the experience running a business, and you guys did romanticise the idea in the video.

I liked the house with the shop, but I'm glad you didn't get it. Having a shop is SO much work. It would have become a thing, even if you didn't want it too. I love natural textures for interiors. This is why I love cabins so much. Wood, and stone are so cozy and bring a sense of calming. I’d love to have a happy cabin house some day. I also love how Japan separates the toilet from the shower/bath because it’s more sanitary.
