My husband and I went to Japan in October and had an amazing time. It was our second time going. I'm actually going back in two weeks for a girl's trip. I'm so excited to go back. Edited to add: if you guys go back to Japan, you should check out Osaka. I like it more than Tokyo. Minoh park in north Osaka is spectacular and worth the trip there. Hiroshima is also gorgeous, surrounded by green mountains with rivers cutting through the city leading to the Seto Inland Sea. Also, the countryside of Japan is gorgeous. We spent most of our trip in October staying in the mountains of the Nara prefecture surrounded by forest, watching the mist move in every time it rained. The cities of Japan are great, but the countryside is truly magical.
i absolute love how clay matches your vibes you two are so cute :) this looks like such a fun trip, and honestly you inspired me to add japan to my list of travel destinations that i want to visit in my lifetime!! regan out here iwth the amazing book recs AND the travel recs? you're unmatched queen
I’m in London right now from around the Boston area and it is crazy how well other places do parks. It’s more of a celebration of natural beauty that’s been organized rather than in America it is kind of a free for all that’s not been planned for the future ie. Central Park
Japan is a magical country and I'm so happy you enjoyed tour trip 😍 Japanese people are the nicest you'll ever meet and the culture, the food, the places. Everything is gorgeous!!! Loved this vlog 🤎
Great vlog! I love Japan, but Miffy, Miffy is Dutch! (And very popular in Japan), She is called Nijntje in the Netherlands and was created by Dutch artist and writer Dick Bruna.
How fun! Thank you for sharing your trip! My husband and I travelled to Japan for the first time last fall and our Tokyo itinerary had very little overlap with yours-there is so much I think a person could spend a month in the city and not see everything worth seeing! It was fun to watch you guys explore some stuff we missed!!
Wow, this brought back memories. I remember going to some of those places when I went to Japan years ago. I am a big Japan nerd. And you are so right about the shopping lol.
Wow !!! Thank you for this wonderful preview, Regan !!! (we'll be heading to Japan next year, in spring too, with my husband my son and 2 friends, so excited, we've got the tickets !! so what a wonderful way to prepare our trip, watching your vlog ^_^) Thank you and I looove your Asics at the end ^_^
Ahhh! Love it! I went to both Tokyo and Osaka (and its surrounding areas) this past October and I am dying to go back! Living vicariously through this vlog! Thanks Reagan!!
Absolutely beautiful vlog, can't wait to go myself in the spring. I'm SO GLAD you got a parasol because Japanese sun is NO JOKE. So glad you had a great time and love your haul.
Ah, a travel blog - I love it! Visiting Japan is a big dream of mine and you are inspiring my plans! And I love the parasol - as a fellow pale person I feel like we need to normalize parasols in the US for sure!
It looks like you had an amazing time! Japan is on the very top of my list for places I want to travel to, and now I want to go even more. One day it will happen!
Looks like you had such a great time! I love my countryside life here in Japan and try to avoid going to Tokyo, but you make it look so fun. 😁 If you love strawberries and chocolate, highly recommend a candy called Apollo next time you visit. So good!
We were obsessed with gachapon in Japan lol. Team lab is so great!!! Glad you got to go and enjoy it. Agree that it is great for the LED art installation aficionados
Wow the art culture is gorgeous and so breathtaking and so and amazing and love it so much 🧡💚🤎🪻🪻🪻💚🧡🧡📖❤️💛💛🌹🌹💖💞💖🌈🌈🌷💜📚🌷📙📙💜📚❤️🪻📙🩵🌹🌈💜💖💛💛❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻🌺🌼🩷💘🌞🌞🌈📖🪻🤎🩵🩵💙🌈
Also! If I'm not mistaken you bought a ramen bowl that has the characters for double happiness on it (used in weddings and for happy successful relationships). Extra cute!
watching this after coming home from japan. severely sad that I'm not still there :( and I literally spent so much money I'm glad it's a universal that everyone becomes a shopaholic in Japan. Yen felt like Monopoly money to me, I was just throwing it at everything
Thank you for enjoying Japan. As a Japanese person, there is something I would like to convey to you. Unfortunately, it's not just good tourists like you, overtourism has recently become a problem due to the influence of social media, and the environment is being destroyed by some tourists who lack manners and morals. And the living spaces of local Japanese people are being threatened. When introducing Japan, I would like them to not only introduce the good things about Japan, but also the courtesy and etiquette when sightseeing in Japan.
can I ask what hotel you stayed at please? the last time we visited Japan our hotel was amazing but the rooms were SO tiny! We were in Akasaka. Your hotel room looks huge! 😮
In japan, woman can shave her fase at barber. Womans shaving(dermaplaning) is japanese traditional culture from 300years ago. Womans shaving can do at barber is only in japan.
The Japanese are cold hearted warm blooded people, I'm sure, you'll enjoy your trip there. Btw you didn't buy a kimono? You go to Japan, you buy a kimono.
@7:40 Sushi no Midori is our absolute favorite sushi chain in Japan! We happened upon it in Akasaka and we were blown away by the sushi! We go at least once every time we visit Japan now!
What a great reading month! I also loved Anatomy and Immortality, so glad you loved them too! Love John Mark Comer and want to read his new book. Hoping to read A Tempest of Tea soon! My favorite book from May was a tie between Funny Story and The Familiar ❤️
