When Mick Karn hit the scene, he sounded like no one else, and to this day no one sounds like him.

I’m going to this concert when my time machine is perfected 😉

What a performance, what a song! Still sound utterly modern and innovative today.

The bass line is just mindbending! it's so cool! Mick Karn was unparalleled!

The drum solo is just absolutely phenomenal! I really wish it was extended on live shows

the combo of bass and drums in this song and Sons of Pioneers is absolutely brilliant. Words fail me and I just sort of flail about with how much they make me happy. The roundness of the drums, the uniqueness and presence of the bass, not to mention the woodwinds Mick played ... just absolutely amazing! This song was my introduction to Japan -- I'm sorry I didn't learn of them earlier but I wasn't even a teen when this came out, and I was in the US. Oh, to have seen them live in person.

I spent many years in music production and Japan is one of the few bands whose live performances exceed their studio efforts.

I remember getting this on Tin Drum album 1981, one of the best albums I had, 31 years later I still love it. Great art cover also.
