As far as ik, almost everyone in the japanese volleyball team be it playing VI or ones on the bench hit the gym regularly, take a balanced diet and are pretty buffed as compared to their indian counterparts. So, i can't see india being physically advantaged over the japanese.

yeah..i agree with "tall players supremacy" part....also the libero is not that quick (wrestler build). and the effect of court they practice on can be seen here there is a huge difference in receiving style.(you can see when he's defending, he is not backing up his hands that gives lesser control over the ball).

In my opinion, I believed that selection might done according to what these players deserved to be but the fact here is that they are lapse/lack in Energy as well in technicalities. Miyaura also played in previous world championship in place of Nishida when he was injured but have to improve our indian team as japan roght now is really on another level and addition of Nishida is like making them a great team.
