Japanese team all the way... Their group dance seems more thought out, that in my opinion means they are more prepared. In comparison, Korean team seemed to use the same group dance concept for a several times. Few highlight: 1. The groove of Japanese team's group dance. 2. Poppin J. 1st time I have ever seen him being so serious. Those moves were insane. To my understanding he has outperformed his usual self. 3. Gucchon. It is funny that I have been into poppin for almost a decade now, and among my development of understanding of poppin, I have had a few favourite poppers during different period of time. Dino, Sonic, Gucchon, Hoan, Hozin, and Ringo. My current favourite is Hozin no doubt because of his musicality, because his dancing can simply make me smile and is so enjoyable to watch. In another words I think solo suits Hozin better, rather than battle. 4. That being said, for the last 10 years, only one popper gave me goosbumps, literally gave me the chill. Gucchon. If some of the top dancers are enjoyable, Gucchon totally deserves to be called "Scary", yet still remains beautiful to watch. A not-so-good example would be Popkun or Crazy Kyo, who are both dynamic in battles thanks to their technique, but sometimes are a bit tiresome to watch, their dance is not "effortless", that says a lot about how scary Gucchon is.
The evolution of Popping Zero has been crazy. I remember watching the old KOD's thinking that the dancing was tight, but there weren't any "homerun" moments like we usually see from dancers like Poppin J. Now, even though it's the fifth time I've watched his set, I can barely keep my jaws closed... DAMN!

people saying korea won here. i'd be pissed if thats true, man... japan clearly outperform the other team. They had more style, more swag, more liveliness and more punch.
I guess you don't know the concept. Korea losing this wouldn't make them lose, because there is also locking, hip hop and breaking, and Korea destroyed Japan in all three of them, so it's 3-1 which means Korea advances.
I love popping japan vs korea battles. They are such an inspiration in terms of spirit, talent, team spirit, fairness. To me, they show what this is all about. In this battle especially hilarious when they literally Keep On Dancing in the end! :D
