@@SylasG from wiki The swastika symbol, 卐 (right-facing or clockwise) or 卍 (left-facing, counterclockwise, or sauwastika), is an ancient religious icon in various Eurasian cultures. It is used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality in Indian religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.[1][2][3] In the Western world, it was a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck until the 1930s[4] when the German Nazi Party adopted a right-facing form and used it as an emblem of the Aryan race. As a result of World War II and the Holocaust, many people in the West still strongly associate it with Nazism and antisemitism.[5][6] The swastika continues to be used as a symbol of good luck and prosperity in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain countries such as Nepal, India, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, China and Japan. It is also commonly used in Hindu marriage ceremonies. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika
3:00 3rd gen camaro! Cool to see one in japan. Ive always said the 80’s/90’s f-bodies are America’s s-chassis. Similar styling, similar skid happy driving style, etc. just a small block instead of an sr😂
Its funny some japanese dudes are exporting their 90s jdm sports car and importing american muscle cars back to japan with their profits. Seeing them in almost every daikoku video japan car youtubers put out. And newer ones too, apparently there are quite a few new challengers running around japanese streets lol. They dig our lumpy v8 boats.
From what I understand about that sawsitka on that truck: They are the well known "black emperor" crew as it says on their sticker. They were the most popular crew (apparently), they were also the biggest rival to the crew known as "Spectre" who's ex leader told a story later in life about how they would ambush "Black Emperor." Basically they would wait on the side of the road with a rope across it, they would pull the rope and the guys on the bikes would fall down and Specter would then rush in to beat them. Black Emperor were a well known group who would use swastika's and Iron crosses for their shock value. The only difference between it and the NP version is its colouring and rotation which was unique to their party.
2:36 Just happy to see a few Isuzu Piazza's. A lot of the 80's Isuzu's are sorely underrated and increasingly rare. As for the Starion, it has a history in Production Car racing in Australia, along with the A70 Supra.
Hands down my fave car meet you've been to, so many cool cars!! Still holding out hope for a Sammit kaido racer style build. Would be super cool if you met up with some of the kaido racer crowd to learn how to make the build legit! Would be super hyped to follow along that build :D
Great video, I could watch You strolling around these cars for hours. 17:45 Black Emperors Tokyo Bosozoku Patch - legendary Bosozoku gang from the old days, when youth motorcycle gangs revolted against the normal routine life with all its restrictions.
Dude first off I've been watching you vides for a while now, thank you for the awesome content.. At 2:35 in this video was pure joy for me... An unsung hero in my eyes .. the JR130 Isuzu Piazza Nero. I won 2 of the US spec models ,and let me just tell you I never thought id see one in a video of yours or any other content creator for that matter.. So thank you and keep up the amazing work. all the best .
Great video, as the owner of two 80s Honda classics I love the 80s. (85 CRX 74,000 original miles all stock and 86 CRX SI B16 swapped). I was surprised to see so few Honda’s at the show. Perhaps not as big of a following over there? Keep up the great videos!
@@WhuDhat definitely was, probably my 2nd favourite among his fleet, his og fursty wagon would definitely be my favourite, seeing him cruising around town when i was growing up as a kid listening to that thing scream was music to my ears lol
Just watching 1 of your old videos Sam and my Dad's Datsun skyline popped up ,in the UK it was the Datsun c210 skyline 240kgt my dad bought his brand-new in 1980 ,he had it 5 years I loved that car as a kid.He had generation before as well a 1975 which was also brand new but 4 door .
Awesome vid. I've had an S13 and an R33. Loved both. But that takes me back to the best days of my life. My first cars. Datto 1600 and 180B. My mate had a 180B SSS but he crashed it. I was pulling bits off it to put on my 4 door 🤦 If only we knew 😅
@@uselss I checked Initial D, which is where I heard it first lol (research in crazy places), it IS what they refer to as a Syleighty, I've honestly never seen one on the road.
Im 7 months late in commenting🏃🏻💨💨💨💨 Awesome content as always man👍🏻. Im an 80s baby📼📺📼 growing up as a 90s kid and even though i was a baby in the 1980s, i did watch alot of 1980s Japanese and American action movies in the 90s and i remember seeing alot of these types of cars in the movies and as a 1/64 diecast car collector like hotwheels and other brands, i try my best to find any 1980s vehicles to add to my collection because i believe the 1980s were very important when it comes to gadgets and technology, music and other things. It was a very important decade of our lives 😊🤘🏻💀🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥
0:10 oh yeah..... That white Toyota Corolla SR5, i had the exact same car but the non GTS trim. Got it for $400 and it was lowered on Eibach springs, 16 inch six spoke Enkei wheels and a straight through exhaust that was loud as hell. Just needed a resonator actually but man it was fun when i had it. It did have the 4AGE engine in it, car was a front drive and not all that fast honestly but a fun car when i had it. Black on gray and it had one of those hot air intakes under the hood
Wild stuff! Those massive wing surfaces also don't do it for me, lol. R31 House I remember them on the old BMI Inline-6 Shootout DVD! xD Just so amazing.
9:21 I believe in some part of the world this Silvia was marketed as Datsun Bluebird 910 Coupe. In Malaysia it's only available at the state of Sabah lols..
That Honda Motocompo though..lol.. on the 'cars in the parking lot' section of the video.. I went to the Japanese Classic Car Show two weekends ago here in So-Cal and I spent a lot of time in the parking lot myself. There were a few that looked better than some of the "show cars".
