I think my grandfather actually defeated all you can eat shrimp buffet because they had to ask him to leave. It wasn't in Japan but the fact that he got that to happand it's Astounding!
@@nozomiritter5048 agreed, the accomplishment itself is very impressive. He could probably eat a lot of beef too, cause it seems like he can stomach a lot compared to most people (at least the ones attending that buffet lol)
I once went to a chinese buffet that also had sushi, I ate 7-8 full rolls over the course of an hour. I would watch the guy make it, and as soon as he put it out to the buffet I would go snatch it. They tried to charge me a ton at the cash register after and I had to tell them they needed to add limitations to the "buffet". they let me leave only paying the original 10 bucks, but they also stopped putting the sushi out as part of a buffet

@@DeepValueOptions you've NEVER EVER shot a cat to see how they go. Literally do backflip somersaults like you've never seen. They don't make a noise.
You sir are a hypnotist. I'll never go to Japan and there are very very few Japanese restaurants where I live and yet I compulsively watch your videos.
A food tour of Japan is #1 on my bucket list And God willing this restaurant will still be around when I finallh do and it'll be the #1 stop I go to lol
ngl the only exposure to yakiniku I've ever had was through the Yakuza video game series. It looked real interesting there and absolutely delicious here. If I ever do find myself in Japan I'll definitely try one of these places out.
boys hear me out try fried intestines. it’s an acquired taste but pays off with the creamy savory inside. pause. bonus points if you make it extra crispy and dip in gochujang. *chef’s kiss *
Places like this are a dime a plenty here too. Infact there's so much of it that it became dull for me to go (not to mention my boss love these places and always takes us there for any get togethers)
That’s Japanese style Korean bbq. When Korean was Japanese colony many Korean people moved to Japan and they started Japanese style Korean bbq in Osaka. That’s the beginning of yakiniku and that’s why almost every yakiniku place in Japan serve kimchi
The American restaurant The Melting Pot has a similar set up in that you get cuts of meat and things you can cook at your table yourself. This place does have way more variety and I'm sure way more flavor 🤤
Knowing Japan eats is knowing this has to be an old video cause he is too honest and candid in his review 🤣 the difference in his way of talking and describing is so crazy from the till now
The more food videos i see of japan the more im convinced they have it figured out so much better than us here in the west. $20 for that is fckin phenomenal. So clean. Everything organized and efficient. Id love to travel to japan and visit one day

@@DeepValueOptions you well, he was a crazy commie. From the same political party who killed 10s of millions of people NO PROBLEM including people in their own party. And like they asked that Hungarian mercenary with over 160 kills: "what's it feel like to take a human life?". He answered "I don't know because I've only ever killed communists".
Dude I over ate at a lot of buffets in Japan and I ended up losing weight. I don't know if it's something they put in their food or if there's bad shit stuffed American food that resulted in this.
I think I would die from heart attack or stroke before I gained that much weight! That meat was *really* fatty! I know it's the good stuff, but if I'm eating a lot...😅
This video could make me cry. It looks so good. I weep because my city doesn't have fantastic food like this. It's all mediocre pizza places, and I don't even like pizza! Give me some of this please I'm begging
There's a place like that where I live. I don't go there all the time, but whatever I do, I definitely don't leave hungry. It's like the best place to eat too much meat and beer.
Bro, why yo channel just now getting recommended to me during Ramadan. This guy tryna convince me to drop everything and live in Japan. In Ramadan, I'll make brash decisions when it comes to food.
i really believe that all you can eat places really show the heart of a country. for example in this video yes he can eat as much as he wants as long as its in small portions. so its way more expensive at 20 dollars then most places in japan. so they're hoping you come in when you feel really hungry. because you're not gonna want to get a couple slivers of protien each trip and wait for it to cook. they're hoping you throw some veggies on there to cheaply fill you up and make them money. its a bet on whose will power is greater. in America by contrast all you can eat places are not that much more expensive than fast food(which is horrifically overpriced compared to japan). and they give you this big plate and a huge buffet to go through. its got all the things an american could want. chicken pork steak. baked fried and seared and its a bet. they're hoping that you're eyes overroad your stomach and you got some really filling sides like macNcheese and potatoes and gravy to go with everything else on your plate.

I like that all the meat is marinated, compared to Korean BBQ (at least in the USA) where nothing is marinated, for except maybe 1 item. Therefore, I don't see why it's soo popular in USA.
Idk how they do it in Japan but in America they'll time you at all you can eat Korean bbq. It's been awhile since I've been but I think its 2 hours and after about an hour they're just SUPER slow at giving you more meat/ more food that's not rice.
I think all you can eat BBQ like this is my all time favourite meal. Especially if you enjoy it with some good company. Only tried Korean BBQ but it does look quite similar 🤔
I’m so bad at all you can eat places. As an Asian, I need rice when it comes to soup saucy and seasoned food. And carbs are super inexpensive and I eat them. I just be wasting so much money even whenever I go to a all you can eat Asian placez
Have you had the chance to go to Cocoichibanya? Hands down my absolute favorite place to get a quick bite to eat. I still remember my order. 😂 Chicken cutlet curry with extra cutlet, 600 grams of rice, level 10 spice, with two orders of either garlic or cheese naan. 🤤🤤🤤 My mouth is watering just thinking about that delicious curry and crispy chicken cutlet.
Genuinely curious how you beat an “all you can eat buffet” like do you eat till you can’t? Till they kick you out? Till you beat your previous record? Till you puke(which causes you to pay an apology fine in many Japanese locations last I remember)?
All of that good stuff in a developed country like Japan for just 20 dollars sounds absolutely insane. I'd probably eat there like 3-4 times every week xD
There's a side of Japan I'm coming to realise, that's very ugly. And it's not JUST the dramatic work hours and overwork. It's the DISPOSABLE attitude. People buy a house and the wife says "I don't want to live in a second hand house". I mean that's literally the attitude. Knock it down build me a new one. Cars? 7 years and then it's basically impossible to reregister them for the road. Cats and dogs? New trend on a new breed, all end up dumped on the streets 2 years later. It's REALLY bad when you start to realise how deep it goes. They breed dogs ONLY from runts to get them smaller and smaller until the digs need C sections WHICH THE BREEDER PERFORMS THEMSELVES and then after 4 or 5 breeding runs, ditch the dog. The Japanese mafia is right in on the pet trade, from breeders and shops RIGHT THRU to people who make sure they don't have any animal rights laws bothering them.
