The first Japanese person I met on my first trip to Japan was a man named tsubasa. Nice name! I also like Yuito for a boy, which my husband says means 'bringing people together' 😁
My half Japanese/Australian son will be born in August. We are also going to go with Japanese for the first name and a English middle name. We are going for the name Aiyu, I really love the kanji for love and brave but my husband is still contemplating over the best kanji. Japanese names are so much fun
My Motherhood Tokyo Ai is always a great kanji, and I personally really like it with the Yu kanji for brave because I think it greats a gentle but strong name for a little boy, but my husband is worried about the balance
@@lor6315 It can be hard to find the right fit! There's so much to think about when choosing kanji, especially with the stroke count etc and how it fits with the family name!
My Motherhood Tokyo stroke count seems to be the one thing my husband doesn’t care about, he is all about the balance. Luckily the family name is pretty standard so it fits well with almost anything.
I'm naming my first son Toma! :) I'm a full Canadian, and my hubby is American. Toma is on that border that it can definitely pass in the US, but will be one of the unique ones. The meaning varies but the meaning that came up the most was "sky". Gives the name more a free feeling to it, and that's what I want my child to be in the future. Free to make their own choices, mistakes, and to love who they wish to. ❤ Edit: I'm heavily studying the Japanese language and culture, so I'm not going into this blindly, I promise!
In Spanish that name means “take”. As in “here, take this”. Just a head’s up since lots of Spanish speakers in the US and Canada. Pronounced the same way too
My name is Anri (杏里). I have no idea what it means but my brother’s name is Mikiya (未希弥) and it can mean future and hope. I’m really jealous of his name 😢
Thank you so much for sharing this video ! I love it ! My baby cousin's name is Asahi as well. Such a beatiful name ❤️ I'm having a baby boy soon but we havent decided yet !
@@yukeroinactivated6984 It means strawberry! I never came across anyone that said it's meaning was Zoey, so you may have confused it with a different name possibly!
