Bamboo chopstick have been around the Japanese culture for decades and is still widely used within today.
Even though there are more alternatives span from design, prices, materials, bamboo woods is still one of many materials that remains the Japanese's favorite.
In this episode, we take a closer look on how each stopstick is carefully handle.
First of all, the Japanese artisan trim out the excessive pieces , cut them down into a sizable pieces . Later on, he then hover them above the candle to stretch out the bamboo pieces, making them easier to break even into 2 pieces of even chopsticks that can later on be sanded out.
This step is ver important to the latter steps as it plays as a fundamental and prerequisite role in indicating the quality of the bamboo chopstick later on.
