My son and I decided to visit these Japanese gachapon capsule toy vending machines in the Sydney CBD. They're located in Regent Place on George St.

My favorite was the dog.In Japan they have animals using the toilet. I like the odd or funny ones

$5.10 per token?! The markups are insane! All those Gacha's are in the 200 yen range, each = $2.63 AU I'd probably still scope it out personally though. :) Thanks for specifying where in Sydney they are!

Yeah tell me about it. But it's the only place that sells genuine gacha. Not the cheap stuff found elsewhere.

Most of them are 300 yen in Japan, including these (price on manual - whale 3:04, frog 5:46, dog 6:28) so markup not quite so severe. Wish we had them in Canada, can’t beat real gacha.

You have to count in the extra shipping the provider has to pay to get them there. Lol

@@felixchu7656 Shipping mass items on a commercial level are done at wholesale pricing / taxing - they're not nearly as much as shipping personal items, which is likely what you're thinking of. The token markup is excessive.

@@revenant6872 maybe. Depends at what level they are shipping things at. A few boxes or containers. Are they committing or just trying it out? Plus how many are they buying at a time? Not saying that you are wrong. I think that's expensive as well but there are factors and we don't know the whole picture.
