We have very similar products to this in Australia, the most popular being Twisties. I was a Flavour Operator in factory that made these and we'd make either a cheese or chicken flavour. The main difference here is that our products are oven baked in a gas fired vertical oven and not fried. The flavouring is a powder that is mixed with a palmoline oil then sprayed into a rotating drum. Sizes aren't sorted either. Best part about the job? I had to taste test and lab test the product every 15 minutes!
